II CHRONICLES CHAPTER 33

Welcome to the early years of seventh century B.C., the year is 588B.C., and we find Father had divided the Nation of the House of Israel into two separate Nations—the House of Israel and the House of Judah—292 years ago, and one of those Nations no longer being in existence: The Nation of the House of Israel which had consisted of ten Tribes—Reuben, Simeon, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Asher, Issachar, Zebulun, Ephraim and half the Tribe of Manasseh—and occupied the Northern territories—which are now in the hands of the Assyrians and no longer Israelite territory—but because of their ungodliness, had been into captivity by the Assyrians. The siege of the People of the House of Israel had taken place 37 years before this Chapter, and 2 then years after the siege began they were taken into captivity by the Assyrians. At some point, the People of Israel had had enough of their Assyrian captors and many of them escaped the Assyrians and fled up over the Caucasus Mountains; so now we are down to one Nation: the House of Judah which comprises two Tribes—Judah and Benjamin—and occupying the southern territories. At present, the House of Judah has as it’s king, king Manasseh, who will begin his reign and rule by doing that which was evil in Father’s eyes. As we are reading in the The Books of the Chronicles—(click here)—we are reading things in the Esoteric, meaning, we are reading things from Father’s point of view or perspective, or in other words, events viewed from the Divine standpoint, and as seen and understood by the spiritual mind, to take that further, you could say, from the moral aspect, and you could go even further and say, for those with the “eyes to see.” The reason Father split the Nation into two separate Nations was because of the actions of Israel’s third man-king, David’s son, Solomon—as can be read in I Kings 11:1-11—(click here)—taking unto himself many foreign wives, served their false gods and idols, built altars for those false gods and idols on Father’s Holy mountain, turned his back on Father, which angered Father and caused Father to tell him that He was splitting the Nation into two separate Nations, but not until Solomon returned Home to Him and his son Rehoboam took over the reign and rule of the Nation.

II Chronicles 32—(click here)—brought us the closeout of the reign and rule of one of the most moral, pious and righteous kings of either House — the House of Israel or the House of Judah, king Hezekiah. Hezekiah put forth a valiant effort to save as many souls as he could before he returned Home to Father, and for both, his sincere reverence for Father, and his righteous efforts, Father Blessed him richly. But, with that being said, the beginning of the Chapter—(click here)—brought us the king of Assyria—Sennacherib—sending representatives—Tartan—which is an Assyrian word meaning “commander-in-chief”—Rabsaris—another title meaning: “chief of the heads” or “chief of the eunuchs,” you can think of this one as being a commanding general—and Rab-shakeh—again, another title, this one meaning “chief of the princes,” the name given to the chief cup-bearer or the vizier of the Assyrian court, this was one of the head captains, or possibly a political officer—and his army against Judah and coming to the city walls of Jerusalem to begin a beseigement against it. Sennacherib was so haughty because of his previous victories, because of the victory he had currently enjoyed against the House of Judah—remember, we had read from Dr. Bullinger’s Companion Bible (Appendix 67), and I’ll allow him to explain it here: “This is not mentioned in Scripture; but Sennacherib has written it down for us, and it may be read to-day in the British Museum in London, on a hexagonal cylinder of this very Sennacherib, King of Assyria (607-583 B.C.). (*4) By the kind permission of the Oxford University Press, we are privileged to give a reproduction of a photograph of this cylinder. It is “one of the finest and most perfect objects of its class and kind ever discovered, and its importance as an historical document can hardly be overrated. It contains four hundred and eighty-seven lines of closely written by legible cuneiform text, inscribed in the Eponymy of Belimuranni, prefect of Karkemish.” The text records eight expeditions of Sennacherib. Among them is his description of this very siege of Jerusalem in the reign of Hezekiah. By the same kind permission we are enabled to give a photographic facsimile of that portion of the cylinder, beginning with the eleventh line of the central column, which is shown in the illustration.,” and what we read there, is that, Sennacherib had captured “46 fenced cities and strong holds, and smaller cities which were round about them, and which were without number, by the battering of rams, and the attack of engines, and by the assaults of foot soldiers, I besieged, I captured 200,100 people great and small, male and female, horses, mules, and asses, and camels, and men, and sheep innumerable from their midst I brought out, and I reckoned [them] as spoil. [Hezekiah] himself like a caged bird within Jerusalem, his royal city, I shut in.”—that he figured he would continue having that success, so, he began railing against Hezekiah, but, even worse for him, he began railing and blaspheming against Father. Hezekiah and Father’s Prophet Isaiah then went into Father’s House, spread a letter Sennacherib had sent to Hezekiah out before Father and cried out to Him. Father replied to Sennacherib in II Kings 19:28—(click here): II Kings 19:28 Because^H3282 thy rage^H7264 against^H413 Me and thy tumult^H7600 is come up^H5927 into Mine ears,^H241 Therefore I will put^H7760 My hook^H2397 in thy nose,^H639 And my bridle^H4964 in thy lips,^H8193 And I will turn thee back^H7725 by the way^H1870 by which^H834 thou camest.’^H935   —>   Father continued, telling Sennacherib that He would cause him to return to his home where he would be slain by those of his own bowels, which did come to pass. For Hezekiah’s part, as the Chapter—(click here)—continued, we read that Hezekiah then fell sick unto death and he again cried out to Father, reminding Him of His Promises and the Promise He had made to David. Father healed Hezekiah and gave him an extra fifteen years. After this Hezekiah’s ego became lifted up and we had to turn back to II Kings 20—(click here)—to read that the king of Babylon sent representitives with presents and letters to Hezekiah as well-wishes. These presents so lifted up Hezekiah’s heart that he showed these men all his gold, silver and precious stones which were in the treasuries. There was nothing that Hezekiah didn’t do for, or show these ambassadors; as he wanted everybody to see all his riches. Not only did Hezekiah take them to and show them his gold and silver; but, he also walked them through his spice house in which were all the known spices of the world, and showed them all his lotions, perfumes, and oils. He had even taken them on a tour and showed them all of Judah’s armories, defensive fortifications, and positions on the wall; and, then went so far as to show these men the secret places in his own house. There wasn’t anything that Hezekiah kept hidden from these men, all because of his pride in how Father had richly Blessed him. Remember brethren, Babylon was the enemy, and Hezekiah had no business revealing all the defensive locations of the city to these men. brethren, Father blessed Hezekiah well for his desire to please Father. He was a good king, and a good Spiritual leader, and therefore Jerusalem and the kingdom of Judah were the better because of it. Father gave him the additional fifteen years in order for him to have an heir and successor after he returned Home to Father. However, Hezekiah boasted and showed these men of Babylon just how Father had blessed him; but, these men of Babylon had no inkling of knowledge of Father. So, how do you think Father felt about what Hezekiah did in showing off the wealth and might of Judah to this pack of heathens? I’ll tell you, He wasn’t pleased in the least bit with Hezekiah’s boasting. See, Father wanted Hezekiah to tell all these heathens the truth, and say that it was Father Who added the fifteen years to his life; however, Hezekiah never said one thing about Father, or that it was He; but, he in turn boasted, and elevated himself before these enemies. After the king of Babylon’s ambassadors left, Father sent His Prophet Isaiah back to Hezekiah to ask him what he had done, not that he didn’t already know, he was there to pronounce sentence on Hezekiah and tell him, that because of his actions, his heirs would in the future, go into captivity to the Babylonians. Hezekiah then returned Home to Father and he was buried in the chiefest sepulchers of the sons of David: and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem did honor him.

This then brings us current, and we open this Chapter with Hezekiah’s son Manasseh beginning his reign and rule over the Nation of the House of Judah. Will Manasseh be a good king like his father? From our stand-point 2,600 plus years looking back on these events, we know that he will not\did not begin his reign and rule well; but, let’s get into Father’s Word and read for ourselves.

With that introduction being said, let’s go to Father and ask Him for His Blessings on our Study of His Word: “ Father, I come to You right now and ask that You Oh LORD Lead me and Guide me as I try and teach Your Word, don’t allow me to mis-teach or mis-lead Your Children. We, Father, also come to You as a group who desire to Learn Your Word, to thank You for inviting us to Your table in order that we might be able to partake of and receive Your Spiritual Meat, and Father, as we prepare to dine on the sustenance which sustains our inner man, we ask that You Oh LORD open our ears and eyes, that we might be able to hear and see your Truths, open our hearts and minds and prepare us in order that we may receive Your Truth. We Pray for Your Understanding of Your Word, we seek Your Knowledge in Your Word, and most importantly Father, we Pray for and desire Your Wisdom from Your Word, in Jesus’ Precious name we Pray, thank You Father, Amen.”

33:1 Introduction.

II Chronicles 33:1 Manasseh^H4519 (causing to forget; or, forgetting) (men-ash-shehי) was twelve^H8147 ^H6240 years^H8141 old^H1121 when he began to reign,^H4427 and he reigned^H4427 fifty^H2572 and five^H2568 years^H8141 in Jerusalem:^H3389 (founded peaceful; or, the habitation of peace) (Yer-oo-shaw-lahי-im)   —>   Manasseh began his reign over the House of Judah when he was 12 years old and he reigned longer than any other king in either Judah or Israel, and as such, he’ll return Home to Father when he is 67 years old. There are only two other kings of Judah who took the throne at a younger age: Joash, or Jehoash, the son of Ahaziah, who took the throne at the tender young age of 7, after the People had had enough of Athaliah, the Usurper queen who had slew all the seed-royal—except for young Jehoash whom the Priests had hid away—in order to gain the throne; and Manasseh’s—yes, this Manasseh which we’re reading of now—grandson, Josiah, his son Amon’s son, who’ll take the throne at the age of 8.

Much will transpire, and there’ll be many a dark day in the next few years in Judah and Jerusalem. As I stated in my introduction, Manasseh will prove to be Judah and or Israel’s most evil, vile king, he will completely close Father’s Temple which his father had re-opened after it had been closed for many years; he’ll remove all of Father’s Altars and places of worship of Father, and instead build altars to the heathenistic pagan false gods, baal and molech being just two of such; he’ll shed much blood in Jerusalem both by the worship of molech, i.e., sacrificing of children in fire, and also by murdering Father’s Prophets who He sends to Jerusalem in order to try and get Manasseh and the People of the House of Judah to change their ways and come back to worshiping Him.

This includes the second (feminine) form; as adjective or noun: - adversity, affliction, bad, calamity, + displease (-ure), distress, evil ([-favouredness], man, thing), + exceedingly, X great, grief (-vous), harm, heavy, hurt (-ful), ill (favoured), + mark, mischief, (-vous), misery, naught (-ty), noisome, + not please, sad (-ly), sore, sorrow, trouble, vex, wicked (-ly, -ness, one), worse (-st) wretchedness, wrong. [Including feminine râיâh; as adjective or noun.] Total KJV occurrences: 664.. So, as used here it means: The evil, especially of moral depravity and corruption, and lewdness. We read the following in Dr. Bullinger’s Companion Bible Appendix 44 ^#8.: “raיaי, wicked, injurious. From its root, which indicates its nature as breaking up all that is good or desirable; injurious to all others. In Greek poneros, evil, or kakos, bad. Hence especially of moral depravity and corruption, and lewdness. English “good-for-nothing” (I Samuel 17:28), naughty (II Kings 2:19, Proverbs 20:14, Jeremiah 24:2).”.

Remember brethren, Manasseh being only 12 years old when he ascended the throne, thus from his father, he didn’t know to do evil; therefore, we can assume that he was being led by elders who were probably not pleased with his father Hezekiah’s decision to change from his father’s evil corruption; and now that Hezekiah is no longer amongst the living, in contempt for what he did, and in contempt for Father, they instill their contempt for Father into the young king and quickly lead him back to the ways of idolatry, grove worship, sodomy, and all the other filth and religious forms, going even so far as to make it far worse than it had been before Hezekiah had cleaned it up.

The LORD=This Title of Father as used here in this verse, is Father in His Role of יְהֹוָה, YHVH—from Dr. Bullinger’s Companion Bible Appendices: YHVH, YAHVEH, or YEHOVAH—the sacred and personal name of Father. While Elohim is God as the Creator of all things, YEHOVAH is the same God in covenant relation to those whom He has created (compare II Chronicles 18:31). YEHOVAH means the Eternal, the Immutable One, He Who WAS, and IS, and IS TO COME. The Divine definition is given in Genesis 21:33. He is especially, therefore, the God of Israel; and the God of those who are redeemed, and are thus now “in Christ”. We can say “My God,” but not “My YEHOVAH,” for YEHOVAH is “MY God.”.

II Chronicles 33:3 For he built^H1129 again^H7725 ^(H853) the high places^H1116 which^H834 Hezekiah^H3169 his father^H1 had broken down,^H5422 and he reared up^H6965 altars^H4196 for Baalim,^H1168 and made^H6213 groves,^H842 and worshipped^H7812 all^H3605 the host^H6635 of heaven,^H8064 and served^H5647 them.   —>   …high places…=No matter how you look at it, these artificial or naturally elevated places of worship were illegal according to Father, as He Commanded and designated only one place for our forefathers to Worship Him—His Altar, whether the fabric tent Tabernacle He commanded Moses to make, or the stone building He had Solomon build. Why were they illegal? Let’s read a little from His Word, let’s turn to Numbers 22:41—(click here): Numbers 22:41 And it came to pass^H1961 on the morrow,^H1242 that Balak^H1111 took^H3947 ^(H853) Balaam,^H1109 and brought him up^H5927 into the high places^H1116 of Baal,^H1168 that thence^H4480 ^H8033 he might see^H7200 the utmost^H7097 part of the people.^H5971   —>   The high places were where all the canaanite peoples—the Canaanites, the Amorites, the Girgashites, the Hittites, the Hivites, the Jebusites and the Perizzites—the moabites and the ammonites worshipped baal. What did Father tell our forefathers He would do should they build the high places and worship at them? Let’s turn to Leviticus 26:30: Leviticus 26:30 And I will destroy^H8045 ^(H853) your high places,^H1116 and cut down^H3772 ^(H853) your images,²⁵⁸⁵³ and cast^H5414 ^(H853) your carcases^H6297 upon^H5921 the carcases^H6297 of your idols,^H1544 and my soul^H5315 shall abhor^H1602 you.   —>   These high places were used for idolatrus worship of false man-made gods and as they were only imaginary, they had no power and were helpless to stop our forefathers as they were destroying their altars as Father Commanded as we read in Deuteronomy 12:2-3, which reads: Deuteronomy 12:2 Ye shall utterly destroy^H6 ^H6 ^(H853) all^H3605 the places,^H4725 wherein^H834 ^H8033 the nations^H1471 which^H834 ^(H853) ye^H859 shall possess^H3423 served^H5647 ^(H853) their gods,^H430 upon^H5921 the high^H7311 mountains,^H2022 and upon^H5921 the hills,^H1389 and under^H8478 every^H3605 green^H7488 tree:^H6086 [12:2] And ye shall overthrow^H5422 ^(H853) their altars,^H4196 and break^H7665 ^(H853) their pillars,^H4676 and burn^H8313 their groves^H842 with fire;^H784 and ye shall hew down^H1438 the graven images^H6456 of their gods,^H430 and destroy^H6 ^(H853) the names^H8034 of them out of^H4480 that^H1931 place.^H4725   —>   All these people were His Children and they were worshipping everything under the sun but Him. He didn’t like it then and He doesn’t like it today either and there are many church houses who are just as bad as those old Canaanite nations. We read the following from Easton’s Bible Dictionary: “An eminence, natural or artificial, where worship by sacrifice or offerings was made (I Kings 13:32; II Kings 17:29). The first altar after the Flood was built on a mountain (Genesis 8:20). Abraham also built an altar on a mountain (12:7,8). It was on a mountain in Gilead that Laban and Jacob offered sacrifices (31:54). After the Israelites entered the Promised Land they were strictly enjoined to overthrow the high places of the Canaanites (Exodus 34:13; Deuteronomy 7:5; 12:2,3), and they were forbidden to worship the Lord on high places (Deuteronomy 12:11-14), and were enjoined to use but one altar for sacrifices (Leviticus 17:3,4; Deuteronomy 12; 16:21). The injunction against high places was, however, very imperfectly obeyed, and we find again and again mention made of them (II Kings 14:4; 15:4, 35:2; II Chronicles 15:17, etc.).”.
baal baalim
…ballim…=baal is the masculine, whereas baalim is the feminine of baal. When we speak of baal\baalim, we have to include the worship of יăshêrâh, יashtôrâh, and\or יashtôreth, because they are tied together as a unit. Wherever baal worship exists, the groves are mentioned, as well as the word “יăshêrâh.” The word “יăshêrâh” in the Hebrew is from the root word “יăshâr,” and it means “to be straight, erect, or upright.” It is from this word that we get the moral reference, “to be upright,” hence happy and/or prosper. The male part called “יăshêrâh”—baal—is distinguished from “יashtôreth” the female goddess, yet the images are worshipped together. The יashtôreth being representative of the productive—or passive—principle of life; and “baal“ or “יăshêrâh” being representative of the generative—or active—part of the process for producing life. In other words, this is using the sexual process in a form of worship, and the shaping of the trunks of the trees as the idols and images—groves—are done to excite the worshippers into the practice, and Father hates the practice. It was from this form that the religious practices of “evolution” that we have today came from, giving “chance,” and the reproductive processes of men and women the credit of creation and salvation for mankind. It leaves Father אלהים, ELOHIM—from Dr. Bullinger’s Companion Bible Appendices,: ELOHIM—the genus God, in other words, Father in His role of Creator of all things. From Dr. Bullinger’s Companion Bible, Appendix 4 (click here): “ELOHIM occurs 2,700 times. Its first occurrence connects it with creation, and gives it its essential meaning as the Creator. It indicates His relation to mankind as His creatures (see note on II Chronicles 18:31, where it stands in contrast with YEHOVAH as indicating covenant relationship). ELOHIM is God the Son, the living “WORD” with creature form to create (John 1:1; Colossians 1:15-17; Revelation 3:14); and later, with human form to redeem (John 1:14). “Begotten of His Father before all worlds; born of His mother, in the world.” In this creature form He appeared to the Patriarchs, a form not temporarily assumed.”. Dr. Bullinger further notes in his Companion notes to this verse, that “(with Art.) = the [true] God.”, out of the creation process, and man ends up worshipping the creation and himself, rather than the Creator, Who is The ONE and ONLY True Living God. In some religions, symbols mean everything; and the יăshêrâh, or the “phallus” was the symbol for the baal worship. The forming of this symbol in their formed images, made from the topping of a tree, and shaping of it became the image of worship. What started out to be the honoring of the origin of life; became a corrupted form of worshipping of the organs that produce the life. These symbols in turn, became the incentive to all forms of impurity, which in time turned into nothing but sexual orgies. Since the creation of man on the sixth day and no written knowledge of what they were worshipping, we don’t really know when this all started. However, we also can look to what was happening and happened when the fallen angels came in Genesis 6—(click here)—we know that they were mating with women and doing who knows what else sexually with them; but, suffice it to say, that is was probably perverted, and from it also they were worshipping the reproductive organs. We do know some of this started also in the ancient Canaanite religions, which originated way back in Nimrod’s day, who was the grandson of Noah, the son of Ham. Ham had four sons and their names were Cush, Mizraim, Phut, and Canaan. Canaan was the father of the Canaanites who were the originators of the current baal, and יashtôrâh. Nimrod was the son of Cush. It was for this reason that Father gave the commandment to Israel that when they entered into the Promised Land — Father told Abram that He was going to allow some of this to come to pass back in Genesis 15—(click here)—but as soon as they came out of Egypt, they were to kill all of the Canaanites, tare down their images and destroy their groves. That’s right, Father said to utterly destroy all the men, women and children, and even their animals. Sadly, they did not listen to Father; they did not destroy the Canaanites but mixed in with them and also the Gibeonites—Hivites—as we can read of in Joshua 9—(click here)—because of their disobedience to Father, the Israelites have brought all their troubles upon themselves. That’s right, Father said to utterly destroy all the men, women and children, and even their animals. Sadly, they did not listen to Father; they did not destroy the Canaanites but mixed in with them and also the Gibeonites—Hivites—as we can read of in Joshua 9—(click here)—because of their disobedience to Father, the Israelites have brought all their troubles upon themselves. † For the etymology of the name Baalim, we read the following in Abarim-Publications: “The word Baal is derived from the common Hebrew verb בעל (baיal), meaning to own or possess. New Open Bible Study Edition (NOBSE) Study Bible Name List translates the name Baal with lord, Possessor, Husband. Brown Driver Briggs (BDB) Theological Dictionary lists an enormous array of meanings but sticks with Possessor where translating the many specific Baal names. Jones’ Dictionary of Old Testament Proper Names grimly states lord.”. † Now from the Strong’s Concordance, where we find that it is Hebrew word number: H1168, - בַּעַל, - baיal, pronounced - bahי-al, and means: The same as H1167; master, hence, a husband, Baal, a Phoenician deity: - Baal, [plural] Baalim. Total KJV occurrences: 81.. † Now from the Smith’s Bible Dictionary, where we read: “lord. The supreme male divinity—the following emphasis is this Pastor’s and author of this Study—of the Phoenician and Canaanitish nations, as יashtôreth was their supreme female divinity. Some suppose Baal to correspond to the sun and יashtôreth to the moon; others that Baal was Jupiter and יashtôreth Venus. There can be no doubt of the very high antiquity of the worship of Baal. It prevailed in the time of Moses among the Moabites and Midianites, Numbers 22:41, and through them spread to the Israelites, Numbers 25:3-18; Deuteronomy 4:3. In the times of the kings it became the religion of the court and people of the ten tribes, I Kings 16:31-33; 18:19, 22, and appears never to have been permanently abolished among them, II Kings 17:16. Temples were erected to Baal in Judah, I Kings 16:32, and he was worshipped with much ceremony, I Kings 18:19, 26-28; II Kings 10:22. The attractiveness of this worship to the Jews undoubtedly grew out of its licentious character. We find this worship also in Phoenician colonies. The religion of the ancient British islands much resembled this ancient worship of Baal, and may have been derived from it. Nor need we hesitate to regard the Babylonian Bel, Isaiah 46:1, or Belus, as essentially identical with Baal, though perhaps under some modified form. The plural, Baalim, is found frequently, showing that he was probably worshipped under different compounds.”.

…host of heaven…=Just how far did these elders who were leading young Manasseh lead him into degeneracy? As bad as it had been in the territories of the House of Israel just prior to Father sending the king of Assyria to take them into captivity as can be read in II Kings 17—(click here). In all of its history to this point, the House of Judah had never before sank so low as to serve and worship the “host of heaven.” His worshiping of the “host of heaven” indicates that he was either worshiping the angels, or maybe the moon, the stars, the sun, and the constellations. What an abomination, an insult, and also a slap in Father ELOAH’S face! How could anyone think they could replace His Altars in His House with their own false god altars and (1) not Anger Him?; oh, and that Anger was with a Capital “A,” and (2) get away with what they did? Talk about foolish!

…In Jerusalem shall My name be forever=When did Father say this? …Name…=Here, used or put for, the metonomy—(click here for the definition)—of the person of Father Himself. A great example of this is Psalm 20 where we find it used three different ways in three different verses: Psalms 20:1 The LORD^H3068 hear^H6030 thee in the day^H3117 of trouble;^H6869 the name^H8034 of the God^H430 of Jacob^H3290 defend^H7682 thee;   —>   Here it is used as “The Defending Name;” then in verse v20:5 where we read: Psalms 20:5 We will rejoice^H7442 in Thy salvation,^H3444 And in the name^H8034 of our God^H430 we will set up our banners:^H1713 The LORD^H3068 fulfil^H4390 all^H3605 thy petitions.^H4862   —>   Here it is used as “the Displayed Name;” and lastly in verse v20:7 where we read: Psalms 20:7 Some^H428 trust in chariots,^H7393 and some^H428 in horses:^H5483 But we^H587 will remember^H2142 the name^H8034 of the LORD^H3068 our God.^H430   —>   Where it is used for “The Delivering Name.”

II Chronicles 33:5 And he built^H1129 altars^H4196 for all^H3605 the host^H6635 of heaven^H8064 in the two^H8147 courts^H2691 of the house^H1004 of the LORD.^H3068   —>   There were two Courts in Father’s Temple complex: The Inner Court was outside the Temple itself; but, before the Outer Court, it was the area where you would find the Altar of Burnt Offering, the laver for washing the offerings, and the Brazen Sea which the priests utilized to bathe themselves in, in preparation for serving Father.

II Chronicles 33:6 And he^H1931 caused^(H853) his children^H1121 to pass^H5674 through the fire^H784 in the valley^H1516 of the son^H1121 of Hinnom:^H2011 (lamentation; or, lamentation) (hin-nomeי) also he observed times,^H6049 and used enchantments,^H5172 and used witchcraft,^H3784 and dealt with^H6213 a familiar spirit,^H178 and with wizards:^H3049 he wrought^H6213 much^H7235 evil^H7451 in the sight^H5869 of the LORD,^H3068 to provoke Him to anger.^H3707   —>   …children…=Here we read that Manasseh sacrificed several of his children to molech, in II Kings 21:6—click here—we read that he sacrificed one of his sons, I’ll take what we read here, i.e., that he sacrificed several of his children. But, what a sad thing, fortunately for his father Hezekiah, he was no longer alive to have witnessed this abomination, as, remember, Father almost called him Home to Him without Hezekiah having an heir, and now, his own son is sacrificing several of his children in the fire to Molech. But, what we’re seeing here, is that, Manasseh was following in the footsteps of his grandfather—even though he wasn’t alive when his grandfather was doing this practice, and since he wasn’t alive, he never witnessed his grandfather doing this—Ahaz—the first king of the House of Judah to practice molechism—and sacrificing his young children in the fire. …observed times…used enchantments…witchcraft…familiar spirit…wizzards…=All this worshiping of other false gods goes back many, many years. Sadly, it was Solomon who introduced a lot of it when he brought in his many foreign wives and concubines; however, this had been going on for many, many years even before Solomon. It goes back to the time of the Judges of Israel. We covered much of this extensively when we read I Kings 11—(click here)—and I'll bring that in and we can go over it again to refresh our memories, we’ll pick it up in: I Kings 11:4—(click here)—which reads: I Kings 11:4 For it came to pass,^H1961 when^H6256 Solomon^H8010 was old,^H2209 that his wives^H802 turned away^H5186 ^(H853) his heart^H3824 after^H310 other^H312 gods:^H430 and his heart^H3824 was^H1961 not^H3808 perfect^H8003 with^H5973 the LORD^H3068 his God,^H430 as was the heart^H3824 of David^H1732 his father.^H1   —>   …when Solomon was old=We know that during the first 20 years of Solomon’s reign—from age 19-39, from 920-900B.C.—he was focused on Father, building the Temple, and then his own house and the palatial complex; however, once all his building appetite was sated, then his lustful appetite took over and he no longer focused on Father as YHVH only. This was the true difference between Solomon and his father David. They both lusted after the flesh, David with, or for, Bath-sheba, and then Solomon with, or for, his 1,000 women, many of whom are foreign. David however, never turned from Following, Honoring, Loving, Serving and Worshipping Father YHVH only; whereas, as we’re reading here, Solomon had. Brethren, there is nothing wrong with having outside interests and not focusing only on Father and His Word all the time, in fact, I encourage it, as, it is healthy; however, with that being said, we should not put those interests before, or allow them to come between us and Father, as, that is unhealthy and then becomes an idol. Let’s find out who these lower case “g” gods were which Solomon allowed these women to bring into Israel with them: [11:5] For Solomon^H8010 went^H1980 after^H310 Ashtoreth^H6253 the goddess^H430 of the Zidonians,^H6722 and after^H310 Milcom^H4445 the abomination^H8251 of the Ammonites.^H5984   —>   Though it had been almost 100-150 years since Israel served those false gods, Solomon brought them back into the Nation. It’s funny—in a non-humorous way—how those gods with the lower case “g” always spelled BIG trouble for Israel and any other of Father’s children. Solomon’s foreign wives brought with them the worship of ashtoreth—(click here—the goddess of love and increase. They worshipped ashtoreth by having orgies: read that as free-for-all sex. They worshipped Milcom, the arabic pronunciation Molech—addressed, called or identified as such in I Kings 11:7—(click here—the fire god. How did they worship Molech? By throwing their infant babies into the fire and burning them alive. Does this sound sort of familiar? Sadly, as soon as Gideon died, our forefathers went right back to it. Let's return and review what we had read back in 8:33Judges 8:33—(click here)—where we read: Judges 8:32 And Gideon^H1439 the son^H1121 of Joash^H3101 died^H4191 in a good^H2896 old age,^H7872 and was buried^H6912 in the sepulchre^H6913 of Joash^H3101 his father,^H1 in Ophrah^H6084 of the Abiezrites.^H33   —>   For being obedient to Father and removing all the forms of pagan worship, and the false gods and idols which went with that worship, Father blessed Gideon with a long life. [8:33] And it came to pass,^H1961 as soon as^H834 Gideon^H1439 was dead,^H4191 that the children^H1121 of Israel^H3478 turned again,^H7725 and went a whoring^H2181 after^H310 Baalim,^H1168 and made^H7760 Baal-berith^H1170 their god.^H430.   —>   As soon as he was dead. These fools of our forefathers sure were sottish, they were almost chomping at the bit waiting for Gideon to die so they could turn away from Father and go back to whoring after baal. Let’s see how else they were sottish. We saw when we read the Book of Judges that each time that a Father appointed Judge in Israel returned Home to Father, the people went right back into their former heathen worship practices that the Judge had led them out of. When Gideon died, they went and made Baal-berith their god. What, or who was baal-berith? We learn in Deuteronomy 16, that our forefathers were not to be like the heathen and worship as they. Let’s trace this all the way back to get the full understanding of it: Deuteronomy 16:21 Thou shalt not^H3808 plant^H5193 thee a grove^H842 of any^H3605 trees^H6086 near^H681 unto the altar^H4196 of the LORD^H3068 thy God,^H430 which^H834 thou shalt makeH^H6213 thee.   —>   Father isn’t talking about planting fruit or flowering trees, He created those for us to enjoy either for their fruit or their beauty; and He isn’t concerned with us planting those near His Altar. The word grove used in this verse is Hebrew word number H842 in the Strong’s Concordance, and in the Hebrew language is אֲשֵׁרָה. When we take the word grove back into the Hebrew, here again, we see the word asherah. So, we see He is not just talking about planting trees, but what you make of the trees once they have grown to maturity. It deals with how you shape the trees, and what those shapes are symbols of and represent. We already know they shaped the asherah into phallic symbols, but let’s continue tracing this back. These shaped tree stumps were set erect into the ground. We learn, when we go to the Book of Isaiah, that this was going on as well, let’s turn to Isaiah 17:8: Isaiah 17:8 And he shall not^H3808 look^H8159 to^H413 the altars,^H4196 the work^H4639 of his hands,^H3027 neither^H3808 shall respect^H7200 that which^H834 his fingers^H676 have made,^H6213 either the groves,^H842 or the images.^H2553   —>   Once again, we see the groves and the images are tied together. Likewise again, the Hebrew text refers to the groves as asherah, and the images this time, to the sun. Again, these groves of shaped tree trunks were set erect in the ground. As they were trees, they were made of wood, but, sometimes the images were shaped from stone. This is why Gideon was able to cut down those groves as we read in Judges 6:26-32—(click here—where Gideon got his name Jerubbaal — the “The cutter down.” He also followed the command of Father to build an altar to Father and worship Him, that was fine. But, later, without Father’s command he built the war memorial and also took the gold earrings and erected an image — the ephod. Continuing our tracing this back, we next find this asherah of a living tree coupled with Mazzeroth or pillars of stone, and it is connected directly to baal-worship. The male part called asherah is distinguished from the female part called the ashtoreth — the female goddess, yet the images are worshipped together. The ashtoreth being representative of the productive—or passive—principle of life; and baal being representative of the generative—or active—part of the process for producing life. In other words, this is using the sexual process in a form of worship, and the shaping of the trunks of trees as the idols and images to excite the worshippers into the practice, and Father hates the practice. …pillars of stone…, or, …stones of worship…=In baal and asherah worship, stones of worship are set up all over the Semitic world today; even in Arabia. We also find, the mohammedan sacred stone, the “kaaba” which is in Mecca, remains an object of reverence. Like every form of religion, the stones and tree trunks have to do with the flesh and then we also have the theory of evolution. This theory is seen as the progress of man’s works, because man considers himself to have begun in the simplest form — in ignorance, and through the development and learning process of mistakes and failures, achieve to the point he is today. We read in Isaiah 57, the following: Isaiah 57:6 Among the smooth^H2511 stones of the stream^H5158 is thy portion;^H2506 they,^H1992 they^H1992 are thy lot:^H1486 even^H1571 to them hast thou poured^H8210 a drink offering,^H5262 thou hast offered^H5927 a meat offering.^H4503 Should I receive comfort^H5162 in^H5921 these?^H428   —>   When you see the phrase “smooth stones,” know that smooth stones were used for “lots — meaning: to apportion or separate;” it forms the Greek word for “Stigma,” and it should be a warning to us, as (1) it separates us from Father and (2) it comes from the number 6-6-6, which has nothing to do with an actual number, but to the word stigma, which is the counting of stones worn smooth over a long period of time. The stones are the number for a man, and that man, is the man of sin, satan, and when you know satan, you will know his children. This verse is addressing the identity of the kenites. These were written as examples to the generation of the end times, and we today are living in those times. The drink offerings—(for a description of the Drink Offerings click here)—and meat offerings—(for a description of the Drink Offerings click here)—in this verse are those things which you use in your worship service, to seek forgiveness for your sins, and as love offerings to Father. Sadly, today most churches have allowed the kenite traditions—the smooth stones of the stream—and their lot or traditions to become the drink offering and meat offering to Father. And Father is asking, “Should I receive comfort in these?” [57:7] Upon^H5921 a lofty^H1364 and high^H5375 mountain^H2022 hast thou set^H7760 thy bed:^H4904 even^H1571 thither^H8033 wentest thou up^H5927 to offer^H2076 sacrifice.^H2077 [57:8] Behind^H310 the doors^H1817 also and the posts^H4201 hast thou set up^H7760 thy remembrance:^H2146 for^H3588 thou hast discovered^H1540 thyself to another than^H4480 ^H854 Me, and art gone up;^H5927 thou hast enlarged^H7337 thy bed,^H4904 and made^H3772 thee a covenant with^H4480 them; thou lovedst^H157 their bed^H4904 where^H3027 thou sawest^H2372 it.   —>   This bed is not something that you sleep in, it represents something quite religious. Today, instead of painting the door outside and over the top with the Lamb’s blood, which is to say, the blood of Jesus Christ Who became our Passover, Christians paint a substitute for the blood on the inside of the door post of their hearts. The Lamb’s blood forces satan the death angel to pass over you, and when something other than the blood is on the inside—which is behind the doors and the posts—it means that they have turned back to heathenism. The word for bed in the Hebrew text is “mish-kawbי,” meaning a couch, a place for sexual joining. What it is then saying, is that you enjoy the heathen religious experiences, and you have not saved yourself as a virgin for me, but you have given yourself over to another. This is exactly what Jesus taught in Matthew 24:19 which reads: Matthew 24:19 And^G1161 woe^G3759 unto them that are with child,^G2192 ^G1722 ^G1064 and^G2532 to them that give suck^G2337 in^G1722 those^G1565 days!^G2250   —>   Jesus expects you to be one of the virgins who remained true to Him, spiritually speaking, right up to the moment of His return. When you have given yourself over to the first Christ, satan, the antichrist, then you have gone whoring and are with child from satan. …covenant…=The covenant which Father is referring to here in Isaiah 57:8, is a marriage contract which you have made with satan when you are lying in his bed and doing the work of his world system to draw others to him. Father is saying thou lovest their bed, or — you like to crawl into satan’s bed and do his work. Where thou lovest it=is when you saw satan’s manhood. When satan’s system beckons to you; in ignorance you will be drawn to him joyfully because your church house is training you right now to do so. Christians are supposed to be the bride of Christ; however, most of them don’t know how to identify their True Husband when He does arrive. Sure, they say right now they do, or they know His voice but, sadly, they will be deceived by the false who comes first. And then when the True Bridegroom comes, He’ll say, “get away from Me — I never knew you.” Symbols mean everything in religious form, and the Asherah, or the phallus became the symbol for the baal worship. What started out to be the honoring of the origin of life, became corrupted into a form of worshipping the organs which produce the life. These symbols then in turn, became the incentive to all forms of impurity, which in time turned into nothing but sexual orgies. The start of these principle forms started in the ancient Canaanite religions, which originated way back in Nimrod’s day, who was the grandson of Ham, the son of Noah. Ham had four sons and their names were Cush, and Mizraim, Phut, and Canaan. Then we read in Genesis 10:8-9, the following: Genesis 10:8 And Cush^H3568 begat^H3205 ^(H853) Nimrod:^H5248 he^H1931 began^H2490 to be^H1961 a mighty one^H1368 in the earth.^H776 [10:9] He^H1931 was^H1961 a mighty^H1368 hunter^H6718 before^H5440 the LORD:^H3068 wherefore^H5921 ^H3651 it is said,^H559 “Even as Nimrod^H5248 the mighty^H1368 hunter^H6718 before^H6440 the LORD.”^H3068   —>   It is from Ham’s son — Canaan, that the Canaanite peoples came: and the one to first give form to the one world religious order was Cush’s son — Nimrod. This family of Canaanites is where the development of baal and ashtoreth took hold and spread. It spread over the entire face of the earth when Nimrod’s kingdom was split when Father confused the people with different languages after they built the tower of Babel. In that ancient Semerian religion, Nimrud was the male form, and believed to have become the sun. Nimrod’s wife Semiremis, took on the goddess form after her death, that at first she was called Shamash. Then she universally took on the name of Ishtar, as well as other forms such as Diana of Corinth in the time of Paul. Every ancient system of idolatry is connected with astrology and etc., these were not something which was new, but, a twisting and corrupting of what was old, and accepted from the early days of the Canaanites. There can be no doubt about the origin of all Phallic worship, pure and simple, for this abomination was common to all the ancient nations, and relics from all over the world are found which prove this fact. What first started by the Canaanites in the world system of Nimrod, spread when Father scattered the people at the tower of Babel. Let’s turn to Genesis 11: Genesis 11:4 And they said,^H559 “Go to,^H3051 let us build^H1129 us a city^H5892 and a tower,^H4026 whose top^H7218 may reach unto heaven;^H8064 and let us make^H6213 us a name,^H8034 lest^H6435 we be scattered abroad^H6327 upon^H5921 the face^H6440 of the whole^H3605 earth.^H776”   —>   …they said…=They being the descendants of Noah and his wife’s sons Ham, Japeth and Shem. They also were the “two of all flesh” which Noah had also taken aboard the ark. They knew of Father’s Promise to Noah, they knew he and his wife and their sons and their wives had survived on the ark; however, they didn’t believe or trust Father to keep His Promise, so they built a high, tall tower, so that, should Father decide to flood His earth again, they would survive. What they were trying to do, was create their own salvation. …a name…=This shows that the people desired their independence from Father. They already wanted to forsake Him and wanted to be seperate from Him. [11:5] And the LORD^H3068 came down^H3381 to see^H7200 ^(H853) the city^H5892 and the tower,^H4026 which^H834 the children^H1121 of men^H120 builded.^H1129   —>   …came down…=Contrast this came down by Father, with man’s trying to ascend up. Father has stated in His Word what man has to do to be saved; however, man continues to try even to this day to build his towers in order to reach his own false peace and salvation. Man tries to move to bypass the sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ, and His shed blood on the cross. Man has rejected Father’s plan, and instead, substituted their own man made forms of religions. The term came down figuratively in the Hebrew is an “anthropopatheia;” and it ascribes to Father, the things which belong to human and rational beings, irrational creatures, or inanimate things. Father hates when man does this. [11:6] And the LORD^H3068 said,^H559 “Behold,^H2005 the people^H5971 is one,^H259 and they have all^H3605 one^H259 language;^H8193 and this^H2088 they begin^H2490 to do:^H6213 and now^H6258 nothing^H3808 ^H3605 will be restrained^H1219 from^H4480 them, which^H834 they have imagined^H2161 to do.^H6213 [11:7] Go to,^H3051 let Us go down,^H3381 and there^H8033 confound^H1101 their language,^H8193 that^H834 they may not^H3808 understand^H8085 one^H376 another’s^H7453 speech.”^H8193   —>   In the phrase “let Us go down,” in the Hebrew text, shows that Judgment is about to befall these people. [11:8] So the LORD^H3068 scattered them abroad^H6327 ^(H853) from thence^H4480 ^H8033 upon^H5921 the face^H6440 of all^H3605 the earth:^H776 and they left off^H2308 to build^H1129 the city.^H5892 [11:9] Therefore^H5921 ^H3651 is the name^H8034 of it called^H7121 Babel;^H894 because^H3588 the LORD^H3068 did there^H8033 confound^H1101 the language^H8193 of all^H3605 the earth:^H776 and from thence^H4480 ^H8033 did the LORD^H3068 scatter them abroad^H6327 upon^H5921 the face^H6440 of all^H3605 the earth.^H776   —>   Keep in mind that this event is called “Babel” not the location. The subject is what the people are doing, and what they were doing was trying to create a way on their own for their own salvation. The word Babel in the Hebrew tongue means confusion. It was through the confusion of languages, that Father scattered the peoples of the earth. It was also the confusion of man substituting His plan and covenants for their own, that man formed his religions. It is from confusion that the word Babylon came. These early Canaanites were the founders of ancient Babylon, the Babylon prior to the Babylon of Nebuchadzeddar’s kingdom of Daniel’s day. This was why Father commanded our forefathers to destroy the Canaanites when He brought them up, out of Egypt. These Canaanites were the mixture and descendants of the fallen angels which came to earth to breed with women during the second influx. This is described in the Book of Jude — the time when “the angels^G32 which kept^G5083 not^G3361 their^G1438 first estate,^G746 but^G235 left^G620 their own^G2398 habitation,^G3613,” and came to earth, disregarding Father’s orders to them. Sadly, our forefathers did not listen to Father and destroy the Canaanites, but instead, made them their neighbors and took on them and their gods. That is what this Book of Judges is all about: Every time a Judge died, our forefathers went right back into serving baal, ashtoreth, and grove worship. As we’re about to read here, after the death of Solomon, Father will split the Nation of Israel into two separate Nations or “Houses,” it was also because of the sins of the House of Israel in following these heathen religious forms, that Father separated Himself from the House of Israel. Then after He became flesh, through His death and resurrection, the way was made, so that we, of the House of Israel could be drawn back to Him. Though the practices of these heathen forms may not look the same today, the symbols of those ancient forms are just as much present today in the Christian church houses as they were then, only we like to cover them over by redefining what they are. In ignorance man seems to think that because he can con himself, he can also con Father. Our Heavenly Father hates all forms of those ancient religious practices, and He is a Jealous God—with a capital “J”—see Exodus 34:14—which most Christians can’t and don’t comprehend. Today, much of baal and ashtoreth is preserved in veiled language in secret fraternities, Freemasonry, Theosophy, and in the Roman Church. The language of these religious forms are so concealed, that those using it probably have little idea at all what it is pertaining to, or what they are perpetuating. In those ancient symbols “I O” proclaims "sex as the true God of Hosts,” as the Jewish Kabala—a part of Jewish tradition—read that kenite—(click here)—the sopherim—(click here)—and\or sanhedrin—(click here)—which was an esoteric set of teachings which was mixed with mysticism and the occult—declares. The reason for so deep of detail here on baal, ashtoreth and grove worship, is because we have continually seen these forms of worship throughout the Book of Judges and the Book of Kings, so we better understand right now, just what it is which Father so hated and despised. Many of those things have come down through the centuries and are appearing in new forms in many of the church houses today. Solomon told us — “There is nothing new under the sun,” and today, the movement is to drive Father completely out our public schools, our government and our lives. Sure they have cleaned up the orgies and renamed ideas with names like evolution, Darwinism, etc., but they have also brought in forms of baalism and the condoning of sodomy as “a different life style.” In the phrase “Went not fully”= from I Kings 11:6 above—(Click here or here)—In other words, Solomon split his worship between Father and all the other gods his foreign wives brought in with them, which is why Father told and commanded our forefathers to not mix—marry—with the other races, or peoples. He knew and even forewarned Moses and had it recorded in The Law; which, Solomon wrote his own copy, and therefore: knew; but, did it anyway, because of his lust of the flesh. Truly this is was the difference between David and his son Solomon. David stayed true to Father and never served any other gods, Solomon on the other hand, when he became older—and I believe because of an over inflated ego—served any and all gods. Let’s return now to I Kings 11: [11:7] Then^H227 did Solomon^H8010 build^H1129 an high place^H1116 for Chemosh,^H3645 the abomination^H8251 of Moab,^H4124 in the hill^H2022 that^H834 is before^H5921 ^H6440 Jerusalem,^H3389 and for Molech,^H4432 the abomination^H8251 of the children^H1121 of Ammon.^H5983   —>   A moment ago we reviewed from Judges 8—(Click here)—let’s now go back and review a little from Judges 10—(Click here): Judges 10:6 And the children^H1121 of Israel^H3478 did^H6213 evil^H7451 again^H3254 in the sight^H5869 of the LORD,^H3068 and served^H5647 ^(H853) Baalim,^H1168 and Ashtaroth,^H6252 and the gods^H430 of Syria,^H578 and the gods^H430 of Zidon,^H6721 and the gods^H430 of Moab,^H4124 and the gods^H430 of the children^H1121 of Ammon,^H5983 and the gods^H430 of the Philistines,^H6430 and forsook^H5800 ^(H853) the LORD,^H3068 and served^H5647 not^H3808 Him.   —>   No sooner had the Judges who kept our forefathers just above the borderline of slipping back into idolatry died, our forefathers jumped immediately back into whoredom and worshipping other, false gods: baal and ashtaroth; the gods of the Syrians: …bel…—bel=This false diety was the Aramaic form of Baal, the national god of the Babylonians, and is mentioned in Isaiah 46:1; and Jeremiah 50:2; 51:44. It signifies “lord.” † For the etymology of the name bel, we read the following in Abarim-Publications: “Bel is the name of the patron deity of Babylon. According to The Oxford Companion To The Bible, Bel is another name of Marduk. Marduk is mentioned only once in the Bible, by the prophet Jeremiah (Jeremiah 50:2). Bel gets a little more Biblical screen time, both from Jeremiah (Jeremiah 50:2, 51:44) and Isaiah (Isaiah 46:1). The Septuagint features three apocryphal additions to the Book of Daniel, one of which is a two-parter titled Bel and the Dragon. In the Bel story, Daniel insists that food offered to Bel isn’t eaten by Bel, and sets out to reveal the identity of the midnight snacker: Bel’s priests, who are subsequently executed. The name Bel is closely related to that of Baal, the patron deity of Canaan, and both names simply mean lord (or owner, husband, etc.): It’s now commonly believed that there was no actual person behind these gods, so it’s without merit to say that Bel and Baal are the same. Obviously, a collective or focused religious reverence of the Babylonian culture is not the same as that of the Canaan culture, and their manifestations (namely Bel and Baal) are also not the same. And that these cultures called their gods lord is also not so unthinkable, as modern believers do the same thing. It may also be that the Bel worshipers called their deity lord, but that the authors of the final version of our Bible (who lived in Babel and competed with the Bel cult), transliterated this name deliberately into בל (Bel), so that it strongly resembled the adverb בל (bal), which is a particle of negation meaning “not”. It comes from the root בלה (bala), meaning to be old or worn out: Bel sounds as much like lord as it does like Nope!.”. † Now from the Strong’s Concordance, where we find that it is Hebrew word number: H1078, - בֵּל, - bêl, pronounced - bale, and means: By contraction for H1168; Bel, the Baal of the Babylonians: - Bel. Total KJV occurrences: 3.. † Now from the Smith’s Bible Dictionary, where we read: “Bel. See baal.”.—jupiter—to some of the canaanite peoples, jupiter was baal, but by the time of the Romans, jupiter became zeus, the god who oversaw all aspects of life, and was the god of the sky and thunder—and astarte—see ashtoreth, also called ishtar; the gods of the Zidonians: ashtaroth, astarte and venus—some scholars suppose that to the old canaanite peoples, ashtoreth corresponded to venus, and by the time of the Greeks, became known as Aphrodite the ancient Greek goddess of sexual love and beauty; the gods of moabites: …chemosh…—chemosh=Chemosh Was the sun god worshipped by the Moabites, and the ammonites, and is identified somewhat with baal-peor, of which we read of in Numbers 23—(Click here)—and 25—(click here)—we read the following in Numbers 23:28—(Click here)—which reads: Numbers 23:28 And Balak^H1111 brought^H3947 ^(H853) Balaam^H1109 unto the top^H7218 of Peor,^H6465 that looketh^H8259 toward^H5921 ^H6440 Jeshimon.^H3452   —>   Balak took Balaam to a high place where they worship baal, thinking that they can worship Father YHVH here as well. He just doesn’t get—like most Christians today—that you cannot Worship Father and any other gods—lower case “g”—at the same time or place. There is only one True God, and He is ELOAH, The One and Only True Living God. Peor was the mountain on which baal was worshipped. What does Peor mean? In the Hebrew, in the Strong’s, it is word number H6465 and means: gap, or opening. † For the etymology of the name chemosh, we read the following in Abarim-Publications: “It’s a mystery where the name Chemosh comes from. It’s obviously Semitic but in Hebrew there is no triliteral root כמש (kms), as far as we know. According to recovered Moabite texts, the father of king Mesha (מישע) of Moab was called Chemoshmelek (כמשמלך, an extra-biblical name comparable in form to Biblical names like Elimelech and Abimelech), which seems to suggest that Chemosh (כמוש) may be Che-mesha, formed from the prefix כ (ke): And the verb ישע (yashav) meaning to save: It’s highly likely that the Hebrew authors who wrote down this name knew very well what it was supposed to mean in Moabite, but as they copied it from Moabite into Hebrew, it came to mean something else (something similar would occur with, say, the German word schlimm, meaning bad or terrible, which transliterated into Dutch would be slim, meaning clever or smart, which in English means slender or thin). In Judges 11:24 he also appears as the god of the Ammonites. Solomon introduced, and Josiah abolished, the worship of Chemosh at Jerusalem I kings 11:7; II Kings 23:13. Also identified with Baal-peor, Baalzebub, Mars and Saturn.”.; the gods of the ammonites: …milcom…—milcom=milcom was the false god worshipped by the Ammonites, and was essentially the exact same false god chemosh, worshipped by the ammonites cousins, the moabites. milcom is also called by another name, and that name is the false god molech, the god of fire. milcom and molech were worshipped in Old Testament times, by the abominable and detestable practice of burning peoples children in fires as a sacrifice; today, milcom and\or molechism is worshipped by what we term as abortion, the killing of the babies while still in the mothers womb. † For the etymology of the name milcom, we read the following in Abarim-Publications: “Alfred Jones (Dictionary of Old Testament Proper Names) states that Milcom is another name for Molech, also an Ammonite god. But note that in II Kings 23:10 Molech is mentioned separately from Milcom in verse 13, and while I Kings 11:5 mentions Milcom of Ammon, verse 11:7 speaks of Molech. The name Milcom comes from the noun מלך (melek), meaning king: Where this name’s final letter ם (mem) comes from is disputed. Total KJV occurrences: 5.. † Now from the Smith’s Bible Dictionary, where we read: “Great king. See Molech.”; …molech…—molech=molech was the false deity of the Ammonites and their cousins the Moabites, who later introduced it to our forefathers, the Israelites. This false, man-made god was formed from brass; it had the body of a man and the head or face of a cow or calf, and it had “outstretched arms and hands” like a man ready to receive something, namely, an infant child. The worship molech in Old Testament times, was called molechism and was performed by the abominable and detestable practice of burning peoples children in fires as a sacrifice; today, molechism is worshipped by what we term as abortion — the killing of the babies while still in the mothers womb, Father hated the practice back in Old Testament times and He still hates the practice today. † For the etymology of the name molech, we read the following in Abarim-Publications: “Molech (or Moloch) is the name of an Ammonite deity, but whose cult spread over a much wider area. The worship of this particular vile specimen of theological folly included the sacrifice by fire of living children. Writers of old report that statues of Molech would be heated from within and children would be placed on this monster’s outstretched arms. Priests, in the meantime, would beat drums so that the parents of the sacrificial children wouldn’t hear their screams and lose heart. It’s quite difficult to imagine what may motivate a culture to develop a theology that requires one to sacrifice one’s offspring, but psychology tells us that humans tend to appreciate the things they have to work hard for or have to suffer for. Perhaps the priests of Molech would tell the parents that giving their children to Molech would really be best for them. Or perhaps they had somehow seen but not boarded the train of thought that caused Abraham to (almost) sacrifice Isaac, or YHVH to sacrifice his Son Jesus Christ. But how bad would one have to want something to sacrifice one’s own child in order to get it? The people who served Molech couldn’t have been mindless morons but must have been sincerely worried about their virtues. The blame, therefore, lies entirely with poor theology. The Bible obviously condemns the practice of sacrificing children. Note that the introductory prohibition, in Leviticus 18:21, occurs in a chapter on sexual sin. First the Lord prohibits incest of any kind, then looking upon a naked menstruating woman, then adultery, specifically with one’s neighbor’s wife, then the sacrifice of one’s offspring to Molech and the profanation of the Lord’s Name, and finally bestiality. Leviticus 20:1-5 specifies the laws concerning Molech, and explains that the Lord of Life equates giving one’s offspring to Molech with defiling his sanctuary and the profanation of His holy Name. Verse 5 seems to suggest that God views a visit to a whore — and act of intended sex without love and specifically designed to not result in reproduction — with sacrificing one’s children to Molech. In that light it’s even more remarkable that in his old age, Solomon, the proverbially wise king of Israel, allowed his wives to turn his heart away from the Lord of Life, and built a place of worship for Molech on a mountain east of Jerusalem (I Kings 11:7). It’s not clear whether Solomon actually sacrificed his own children to Molech, but at the time of the reforms of king Josiah, some three centuries after Solomon, when these monstrosities were destroyed, the Israelites were (II Kings 23:10). Another dozen or so years after Josiah, Judah was overrun by Nebuchadnezzar and the Babylonian hordes. Through the prophet Jeremiah, God explains that He allowed Nebuchadnezzar to take Jerusalem because of the evil the Israelites committed, specifically by causing their sons and daughters pass through fire to Molech (Jeremiah 32:35). Much later, Stephen inserts Amos 5:25-27 into his final sermon (ACTS 7:43) and Molech (now called Moloch) is mentioned for the last time in the Bible. The name Molech is obviously related to the word מלך (melek), meaning king: We can’t know how the name of this deity was pronounced by the ancients (because there are no sound recordings from those days) so it’s a bit of a mystery how the word melek became the name Molech. One possibility is that when scholars began to pen down sounds, that is when the Bible was translated into Greek, they borrowed the sounds of the word בשת (boshet), meaning shame, and grafted them onto the vowels of our name, hence producing M-o-l-e-ch. Also note that the name Molech appears to have been preceded by the definite article as a rule: המלך (Hamolech), meaning the king. The name Molech means King and is of the same order of reverence as the names בעל (Baal), meaning “Master” or אדני (Adonai), meaning “Lord”.”. † Now from the Strong’s Concordance, where we find that it is Hebrew word number: H4432, - מֹלֶךְ, - môlek, - pronounced: moי-lek, and means: From H4427; Molek; (that is, king), the chief deity of the Ammonites: - Molech. Compare H4445. Total KJV occurrences: 9.. † Now from the Smith’s Bible Dictionary, where we read: “King. The fire-god Molech was the tutelary deity of the children of Ammon, and essentially identical with the Moabitish Chemosh. Fire-gods appear to have been common to all the Canaanite, Syrian, and Arab tribes, who worshipped the destructive element under an outward symbol, with the most inhuman rites. According to Jewish tradition, the image of Molech was of brass, hollow within, and was situated without Jerusalem. “His face was (that) of a calf, and his hands stretched forth like a man who opens his hands to receive (something) of his neighbor. And they kindled it with fire, and the priests took the babe and put it into the hands of Molech, and the babe gave up the ghost.” Many instances of human sacrifices are found in ancient writers, which may be compared with the description in the Old Testament of the manner in which Molech was worshipped. Molech was the lord and master of the Ammonites; their country was his possession, Jeremiah 49:1, as Moab was the heritage of Chemosh; the princes of the land were the princes of Malcham, Jeremiah 49:3; Amos 1:15. His priests were men of rank, Jeremiah 49:3, taking precedence of the princes. The priests of Molech, like those of other idols, were called Chemarim, II Kings 23:5; Hosea 10:5; Zephaniah 1:4.”; and the gods of the philistines: …dagon…—dagon=This man-made false deity was the fictitious fish-god of the Philistines and was represented as having the torso of a fish, with the hands and head of a man. The first introduction to dagon in Father’s Word was in the story of Samson in Judges 16—(click here)—where we read: Judges 16:23 Then the lords^H5633 of the Philistines^H6430 gathered them together^H622 for to offer^H2076 a great^H1419 sacrifice^H2077 unto Dagon^H1712 their god,^H430 and to rejoice:^H8057 for they said,^H559 “Our god^H430 hath delivered^H5414 ^(H853) Samson^H8123 our enemy^H341 into our hand.”^H3027”   —>   The Philistines were incorrect, as it was Father who delivered Samson into their hand in order to fulfill His plan; see, through Samson, more Philistines will lose their lives than at any time previous in Father’s Word. We next read in I Samuel 5—(click here)—of this false deity in the account of the Philistines capturing Father’s Ark. Again, it was Father Who allowed His Ark to be taken by the Philistines, as our forefathers had taken His Ark to the front-lines in their battle against the Philistines, without first seeking Father. Because they did not seek Him, He gave them into the Philistines hands and the Philistines were allowed to capture His Ark. But, again, this too was part of Father’s Plan, as He was going to show and prove to the Philistines that He is The One and Only True Living God. Let’s turn to I Samuel 5 and read what happened when the Philistines had His Ark: I Samuel 5:1 And the Philistines^H6430 took^H3947 ^(H853) the ark^H727 of God,^H430 and brought^H935 it from Eben-ezer^H4480 ^H72 unto Ashdod.^H795   —>   When the Philistines had captured Father’s Ark, they took it to Eben-ezer. Now, we read here that they then took it to their capital city of Ashdod. Ashdod was one of the five confederate cities of the Philistines, situated about 30 miles from the southern frontier of Palestine, 3 miles from the Mediterranean Sea, and nearly midway between Gaza and Joppa. It was assigned to the tribe of Judah in Joshua 15:47; but, was never subdued by our forefathers. Its chief importance arose from its position on the high road from Palestine to Egypt. [5:2] When the Philistines^H6430 took^H3947 ^(H853) the ark^H727 of God,^H430 they brought^H935 it into the house^H1004 of Dagon,^H1712 and set^H3322 it by^H681 Dagon.^H1712   —>   Big, big error here on the part of the Philistines. You don’t take something from The One and Only True Living God, Eloah, and place it in or next to your false god and think things will be OK. Here is how foolish or stupid these Philistines are, for in I Samuel 4:7—(click here)—they said they knew how He had fought for the Israelites and brought them up out of Egypt. Let’s read it: I Samuel 4:7 And the Philistines^H6430 were afraid,^H3372 for^H3588 they said,^H559 “God^H430 is come^H935 into^H413 the camp.”^H4264 And they said,^H559 “Woe^H188 unto us! for^H3588 there hath not^H3808 been^H1961 such a thing^H2063 heretofore.^H865 ^H8032   —>   These Philistines were afraid of Father, and rightfully so; for, they knew how powerful and mighty He is, listen to what they say in the next verse: [4:8] Woe^H188 unto us! who^H4310 shall deliver^H5337 us out of the hand^H4480 ^H3027 of these^H428 mighty^H117 Gods?^H430 these^H428 are the Gods^H430 that smote^H5221 ^(H853) the Egyptians^H4714 with all^H3605 the plagues^H4347 in the wilderness.^H4057   —>   They knew it was Father Who smote the Egyptians with the plagues and yet they are still ignorant enough now, to bring His Ark to their “fortified” city and place it in the house of their “make-believe” god — dagon. What do you think Father will do? [5:3] And when they of Ashdod^H795 arose early^H7925 on the morrow,^H4480 ^H4283 behold,^H2009 Dagon^H1712 was fallen^H5307 upon his face^H6440 to the earth^H776 before^H6440 the ark^H727 of the LORD.^H3068 And they took^H3947 ^(H853) Dagon,^H1712 and set^H7725 him in his place^H4725 again.   —>   Father was present in that temple in Ashdod; for the Ark of the Covenant was not the presence of Father, but it was His place of abode here on earth. The blessed artifacts that Father had set before man to remind them of His faithfulness and love for us were all stored in the Ark of the Covenant. They were reminders of His Word and Promises which he gave to His People, the Israelites. They were not intended for the heathen; yet, through the failure of the high priest, Eli, and the priesthood—Eli’s sons Hophni and Phinehas—and their indifference, here sat the Mercy Seat of God before the fictitious dagon, and dagon simply could not stand before the True God. The mercy seat is where Father gives His mercy to all those who will call out to Him and ask it. Yet even today, people will not call out to Father for mercy, even when it is there before them to freely ask for. In His presence, these Philistines’ false god fell on its face, and when they entered into the house of dagon the next morning, they saw their god lying there on its face in the dirt before the Ark of YHVH. And they had to set it in an upright position again, for it had no powers to set itself upright. [5:4] And when they arose early^H7925 on the morrow^H4480 ^H4283 morning,^H1242 behold,^H2009 Dagon^H1712 was fallen^H5307 upon his face^H6440 to the ground^H776 before^H6440 the ark^H727 of the LORD;^H3068 and the head^H7218 of Dagon^H1712 and both^H8147 the palms^H3709 of his hands^H3027 were cut off^H3772 upon^H413 the threshold;^H4670 only^H7535 the stump of Dagon^H1712 was left^H7604 to^H5921 him.   —>   All that was left of the image of Dagon was the stump; the human portions were completely cut-off and removed from the fish portion. Do you think these Philistines have gotten the message yet that Father—ELOAH—is The One and Only True Living God? No, sadly for them, they have not. Even though they are seeing with their own eyes, they believe not. All it took was for one non-believer to tell them that they could beat the Israelites and their God; and they gained the courage to stand and fight. Today is no different, for many today still just cannot see Father and His majesty, His splendor. Today, we have those one or two atheists and homosexuals standing and telling the other nonbelievers—“there is no God, only humanism, therefore do as your flesh desires for there are no consequences”—and others just follow along because they now also have courage to stand against Father and His ways. They will find that when they too awaken — open their spiritual eyes either upon death or at Jesus’ return, that their gods of humanism, sodomy and such will likewise be broken. The good news for them, is that when Jesus does return for His Second Advent, they’ll have one thousand years to accept Him and His ways. [5:5] Therefore^H5921 ^H3651 neither^H3808 the priests^H3548 of Dagon,^H1712 nor any^H3605 that come^H935 into Dagon’s^H1712 house,^H1004 tread^H1869 on^H5921 the threshold^H4670 of Dagon^H1712 in Ashdod^H795 unto^H5704 this^H2088 day.^H3117   —>   Father was finally getting their attention that their god dagon could not stand in His presence and after they removed the human portions, no one who from then on entered into the house of dagon stepped on the threshold, they all jumped over it for they were afraid that they too might have their hands and head cut off. [5:6] But the hand^H3027 of the LORD^H3068 was heavy^H3513 upon^H413 them of Ashdod,^H795 and he destroyed^H8074 them, and smote^H5221 them with emerods,^H6076 even^(H853) Ashdod^H795 and the coasts^H1366 thereof.   —>   Destroyed them=This translates back to the Hebrew meaning that Father got their attention, He really astonished or scared them because in the Strong’s Concordance, this is Hebrew Word number: H8074, - שָ מֵם, - shâmêm, pronounced - shaw-mameי, and means: A primitive root; to stun (or intransitively grow numb) , that is, devastate or (figuratively) stupefy (both usually in a passive sense): - make amazed, be astonied, (be an) astonish (-ment), (be, bring into, unto, lay, lie, make) desolate (-ion, places) , be destitute, destroy (self) , (lay, lie, make) waste, wonder. Total KJV occurrences: 89.. Yes, it could also have meant that He destroyed them; but, when combined with the rest of the verse, you see that Father did not kill them, only truly got their attention so that they no longer wanted His Ark in their presence. How did Father amaze them? By giving every one of them emerods, or what we today call hemorrhoids. And, I mean, they were deep, painful hemorrhoids; so bad, that none of them any longer wanted His Ark in their city. [5:7] And when the men^H376 of Ashdod^H795 saw^H7200 that^H3588 it was so,^H3651 they said,^H559 “The ark^H727 of the God^H430 of Israel^H3478 shall not^H3808 abide^H3427 with^H5973 us: for^H3588 His hand^H3027 is sore^H1785 upon^H5921 us, and upon^H5921 Dagon^H1712 our god.”^H430”   —>   These Philistines took a beating for their taking the Ark of the Covenant as one of their spoils of war and bringing it to Ashdod. They knew exactly where their trouble was coming from, and Who was at the cause of their discomfort. The fact that dagon’s head and hands were broke off showed that dagon had no power for them anymore; and with all the inhabitants having their hemorrhoids, it shows us that Father does have a sense of humor. † For the etymology of the name dagon, we read the following in Abarim-Publications: “Dagon of the Philistines is often assumed to be a kind of fish-god, which was known with some degree of variation from Babylon to Egypt. This fish-god, with the body of a fish but human hands and head, appeared under different names (for instance Odakon), even to the extent that it becomes difficult to establish where one deity ends and the next one begins. Sometimes he is a fertility god, sometimes a storm god and sometimes a maritime god. There was a fish-god named Dagan in Assyria and Babylon and scholars generally agree that this name came from a root dgn, meaning grain. But in his article on the Philistine Dagon in Hastings Dictionary of the Bible, N. Koenig states that “an identification of this god [Dagon] with the Babylonian Dagan is doubtful”. In his book The Cosmology of the Babylonians, Peter Jensen even stated that the Assyrian deity Dagan had nothing to do with a fish-man named Odakon. The Jewish Encyclopedia, on the other hand, declares by no means certain that Dagon, Odakon and the Assyrian Dakan/Dagan were unrelated. All these sources are somewhat archaic, and Harris Archer Waltke (HAW) Theological Wordbook of the Old Testament helpfully submits that “no modern scholar since the turn of the century [that’s 1900] follows Jerome and Kimchi who suggested on the basis of popular etymologizing that he was a fish-god. Many moderns [...] view him as a grain god”. The reason for all this confusion is that the Hebrew rendering of the name of this Philistine deity, דגון, appears to be derived from either the Hebrew word for fish, דג, or grain, דגן, and there’s a good chance that these two words are related and both in essence express a multitudinousness: For a meaning of the name Dagon, New Open Bible Study Edition (NOBSE) Study Bible Name List reads Fish and Jones’ Dictionary of Old Testament Proper Names proposes a rather elaborate Honored Fish. Brown Driver Briggs (BDB) Theological Dictionary does not offer an interpretation of this name. In light of the above, however, it seems obvious that the Hebrews (or even the Philistines for that matter) wouldn’t understand the name Dagon as “fish” but rather as Abundance. And there’s much more to this: The historical parts of the Bible aren’t merely stories that sum up legendary facts, but much rather a commentary on how Yahvism won from the competing religions. By the time the Hebrew Bible was written, Yahvism experienced competition mostly from religions based on celestial deities, and abundance was a proverbial quality of stars (Genesis 15:5). Star-gazing was done by people who lived in darkness (Isaiah 9:2), the people who received the Word of God through parables, whereas the people of Israel received the great light of the Word of God as clearly as light of day (MARK 4:11). This tension between metaphorical stars and sun is clearly expressed in the stories concerning Dagon. This deity was first destroyed by Samson (whose name means Sun), and secondly by the Ark, which returned to Israel via Beth-shemesh (which means House Of The Sun). In that sense, the name Dagon means Astrology, or even more general: Polytheism, which was defeated by the slow but sure progress in theological thought that resulted in the advance of monotheism. By the time the Biblical Dagon stories received their final form, the Greeks were telling myths about the constellation Pisces (Fish; and the Philistines were most probable of Aegean descent). Their stories told of Aphrodite and Eros who escaped the hundred dragon-headed “father of all monsters” Typhon by jumping into the sea and transforming into the fish that are still visible in the night sky as the constellation Pisces. As noted by Joseph Campbell, the story of the final defeat of Typhon by Zeus finds it Biblical reflections in the story of YHVH defeating Leviathan (Job 41) and Rahab (Isaiah 51:9). But remember that the victories of YHVH aren’t the victories of man. Since revelation occurs gradually, human understanding evolves equally gradually from the darkness of ignorance (hence wars, sickness and poverty) to the light of understanding (hence peace, health and prosperity). The stories of Abraham leaving Ur of the Chaldeans and Israel leaving Egypt tell besides an obvious difference also of a shared origin. Immature understanding must always make way for a mature understanding, but as long as the immatures don’t declare war on the matures, the matures will always respectfully remember their ancestry. Note that the name Jesus is closely related to the name Joshua, and Joshua’s father was named Nun, which also means fish and also comes from a root that reflects abundance.”. † Now from the Strong’s Concordance, where we find that it is Hebrew word number: H1712, - דָּגוֹן, - dâgôn, pronounced - daw-gohnי, and means: From H1709; the fish-god; Dagon, a Philistine deity: - Dagon. Total KJV occurrences: 13.. † Now from the Smith’s Bible Dictionary, where we read: “A fish. Apparently the masculine, I Samuel 5:3,4, correlative of Atargatis, was the national god of the Philistines. The most famous temples of Dagon were at Gaza, Judges 16:21-30, and Ashdod, I Samuel 5:5,6; I Chronicles 10:10. The latter temple was destroyed by Jonathan in the Maccabæan wars. Traces of the worship of Dagon likewise appear in the names Caphar-dagon (near Jamnia) and Beth-dagon in Judah, Joshua 15:41, and Asher, Joshua 19:27. Dagon was represented with the face and hands of a man and the tail of a fish, I Samuel 5:5. The fish-like form was a natural emblem of fruitfulness, and as such was likely to be adopted by seafaring tribes in the representation of their gods.”; …Merodach…—merodach=Also known as marduk. Merodach is mentioned one time in Father’s Word, in Jeremiah 50:2, where we read: Jeremiah 50:2 “Declare^H5046 ye among the nations,^H1471 and publish,^H8085 and set up^H5375 a standard;^H5251 publish,^H8085 and conceal^H3582 not:^H408 say,^H559 ‘Babylon^H894 is taken,^H3920 Bel^H1078 is confounded,^H3001 Merodach^H4781 is broken in pieces;^H2844 her idols^H6091 are confounded,^H3001 her images^H1544 are broken in pieces.^H2865   —>   Merodach was also another another name for bel, the Babylonian false deity who supposedly presided over justice, compassion, healing, regeneration, magic, and fairness, although he is also sometimes referenced as a storm god and agricultural deity. † For the etymology of the name merodach, we read the following from Abarim Publications: “It’s not clear where the name Marduk comes from but Tikva Frymer-Kensky writes in The Encyclopedia Of Religion, that it was “probably pronounced Marutuk” and “probably derived from amar Utu, meaning Bull Calf Of [The Sun God] Utu”. In other words: it’s not really important what it originally meant, it’s much more important what it meant to the Hebrew authors, who made it a sport to slightly alter the names of famous people into telling nicknames (see for instance the names Nebuchadnezzar and Amraphel). The name Marutuk can be perfectly transliterated into Hebrew (מרתוך or מערטך or even מרתק) but they chose to spell it מרדך, and there are a few ways to interpret that: Our name might be meant as a combination of the prefix מ, meaning “place of” or “instrument of” plus an expression of a root רדך (rdk). Unfortunately, this root does not exist in the Hebrew of the Bible and there’s no telling whether it existed and if it did, what it meant. It may be derived from the verb מרד (marad), meaning to be rebellious or to revolt (see the name Mered). Thus the name Marduk would mean Your Downfall. Thus our name would mean Your Subdual. It may be meant as a combination of two biliteral elements, such as the adjective מר (mar), meaning strong or bitter: And the adjective דך (dak), meaning crushed or oppressed: The name Marduk carries quite a few separate meanings in Hebrew but they all converge on the same or similar message. The word Whore in the Strong’s, is Hebrew word number: H6948, - קְדֵשָׁה, - q^edêshâh, - pronounced: ked-ay-shawי, and means: Feminine of H6945; a female devotee (that is, prostitute): - harlot, whore. Total KJV occurrences: 5.; whereas, the word sodomite is Hebrew word number—notice in the description of a whore, the feminine is Hebrew word H6945—same as the word sodomite: H6945, - קָדֵשׁ, - qâdêsh, pronounced: kaw-dasheי, and means: From H6942; a (quasi) sacred person, that is, (technically) a (male) devotee (prostitution) to licentious idolatry: - sodomite, unclean Total KJV occurrences: 6.. So, in other words, both the whore and the sodomite were\are instruments\people to be used during a worship service to baal, and it is no different today with all our licentiousness here in the United States, what with all they’re pushing on our Elementary age school-children, telling them they can changer thir gender, and\or bringing in homosexuals dressed as woman to “read” to our children, and even the churches doing so. What do we read in Numbers 25—(Click here)? This is the easiest way to anger Him, cause Him to turn His back on you, and take away all Blessings from you. [25:3] And Israel^H3478 joined himself^H6775 unto Baal-peor:^H1187 and the anger^H639 of the LORD^H3068 was kindled^H2734 against Israel.^H3478   —>   As we learned from Numbers 23:28—(Click here)—Peor was the mountain on which Baal was worshipped. These “heads of the People” are the chiefs or princes of the People. The number isn’t stated here in this verse, but, must have been about 1,000, and included in the 24,000 of verse Numbers 25:9—(Click here)—but, excluded from I Corinthians 10, where we read: I Corinthians 10:8 Neither^G3366 let us commit fornication,^G4203 as^G2531 some^G5100 of them^G846 committed,^G4203 and^G2532 fell^G4098 in^G1722 one^G3391 day^G2250 three and twenty thousand.^G5140 ^G1501 ^G5505   —>   Hang them up=I.e., impaled or nailed to a stake, as in crucifixion. The vulgate renders it “crucify,” which means the same thing. [25:5] And Moses^H4872 said^H559 unto^H413 the judges^H8199 of Israel,^H3478 “Slay^H2026 ye every one^H376 his men^H582 that were joined^H6775 unto Baal-peor.”^H1187   —>   Remember from Numbers 11:16—(Click here)—Father had told Moses that he should gather 70 men to assist Moses in judging the People. Well, it is these judges who Moses is telling in this verse to go to every one of his men and slay those who had yoked themselves to Baal-Peor. Had we continued here in Numbers 25, we would have found that an Israelite brought in a Midianitish woman and lay with her right there in the camp, until Eleazar’s son, Phinehas, picked up a spear and ran it through both of them while they were in the act. Let’s return now to I Kings 11: I Kings 11:8 And likewise^H3651 did^H6213 he for all^H3605 his strange^H5237 wives,^H802 which burnt incense^H6999 and sacrificed^H2076 unto their gods.^H430   —>   In order to continue to please all his foreign wives and ensure peace, Solomon allowed them to keep their false gods; he not only let them keep them; but, he also build altars for them all over the Temple Mount, Mount Moriah, and Mount Zion at which they would worship their false gods; and he even participated in the worship of those false gods with his foreign wives. Not a very intelligent thing to do, especially considering all the wisdom Father had Blessed him with, actually it was quite sottish on his part. We know from our stand-point of 2,800 years from the times of these events, that this angered Father so much that He called Solomon Home; however, before He did, He notified Solomon that He is about to divide the kingdom into two separate Nations: House of Israel and House of Judah, and He even ensured that Solomon knew why and what is going to happen to the House of Israel once he has been brought Home. The false gods\religions of today—beside still serving some of those from the past including molechism, astarte, ashtoreth and some of the others—include allah, buddhism, confusicious, hinduism, jainism, prosperity doctrines, rapture, wiccanism and a few others. So, as we see, man is still sottish and desires to worship any and everything under the sun. Let’s return now to II Chronicles 33 and continue reading what further evil Manasseh will do:

This fool made a graven golden image of his asherah grove where they held their orgies, and he placed it right there in Father’s House, and he worshiped his image in Father’s House. WOW, what an abomination!!!

Father’s Temple was and is the most holy place of all places here on earth, and what did Manasseh do? He turned the House of Father YHVH into a whore house; a place for them to hold their sex orgies. All the time that Manasseh did all this wickedness, he declared that he was doing it in the name of the Living God. Does it sound familiar with a lot of the stuff we see going on in many kurch houses today? If they declare that they are doing it in the name of Jesus, than they can go ahead with all their things which go against Father’s Word.

The sins of Manasseh and our forefathers will cause them and all the House of Judah to go into captivity to the king of Babylon.

God=As used in this verse, this is אלהים, ELOHIM—from Dr. Bullinger’s Companion Bible Appendices,: ELOHIM—the genus God, in other words, Father in His role of Creator of all things. From Dr. Bullinger’s Companion Bible, Appendix 4: “ELOHIM occurs 2,700 times. Its first occurrence connects it with creation, and gives it its essential meaning as the Creator. It indicates His relation to mankind as His creatures (see note on II Chronicles 18:31, where it stands in contrast with YEHOVAH as indicating covenant relationship). ELOHIM is God the Son, the living “WORD” with creature form to create (John 1:1; Colossians 1:15-17; Revelation 3:14); and later, with human form to redeem (John 1:14). “Begotten of His Father before all worlds; born of His mother, in the world.” In this creature form He appeared to the Patriarchs, a form not temporarily assumed.”. Dr. Bullinger further notes in his Companion notes to this verse, that “(with Art.) = the [true] God.”.

This indicated to us that Father was and did continue what He was saying into this verse, i.e., That He put His name on His House, He would keep it there forever, that He would never move our forefathers from off the land He had given them, IF they heeded His Laws, Ordinances and Statutes. Manasseh was just about the final proverbial straw which broke the camels back.

Father said He would bring about peace for Israel and not cause them to be removed from off the land He gave to them If they met His condition. Sadly, they were not and are not even to this day, hearers and doers, we know this because those in Israel and those which make up the Nations of the House of Israel today, still do not have peace. Many of the Peoples which make up the Nations of the House of Israel are being invaded by the muslim population today, and the People aren’t even putting up a fight to stop it from coming to pass, heck we’re watching them cheer the muslims on raping and slaughtering our brothers and sisters.

To do worse than the heathen, i.e., those who openly profess they don’t know, Love, Honor, Serve or Worship Father; those who openly have distain and hostility for Father and His ways.

Listen to what Father tells His Prophet Jeremiah in the Book named after him, let’s turn to Jeremiah 15: Jeremiah 15:1Jeremiah 15:1 Then said^H559 the LORD^H3068 unto^H413 me, “Though^H518 Moses^H4872 and Samuel^H8050 stood^H5975 before^H6440 Me, yet My mind^H5315 could not^H369 be toward^H413 this^H2088 People:^H5971 cast^H7971 them out of^H4480 ^H5921 My sight,^H6440 and let them go forth.^H3318   —>   Father mentions Moses and Samuel to Jeremiah here, because, they were two of the foremost Prophets of His who stood in the gap between Father and His Children, when His Children were erring badly and He wanted to destroy them. Though, I must add, Samuel paid a heavy price, because, though he stood in the gap between Father and His Children; Samuel did a very poor job of standing between his own sons and Father’s Children, and he allowed his two sons to fleece the People by taking bribes, extorting the People, and raping the women. [15:2] And it shall come to pass,^H1961 if^H3588 they say^H559 unto^H413 thee, ‘Whither^H575 shall we go forth?’^H3318 then thou shalt tell^H559 ^H413 them, ‘Thus^H3541 saith^H559 the LORD;^H3068 Such as^H834 are for death,^H4194 to death;^H4194 and such as^H834 are for the sword,^H2719 to the sword;^H2719 and such as^H834 are for the famine,^H7458 to the famine;^H7458 and such as^H834 are for the captivity,^H7628 to the captivity.’^H7628   —>   Father is telling Jeremiah, that He is about to change things in Israel, and they won’t be for the betterment; as, the People have turned their backs on Him; so, He is about to unleash calamities upon them. You know, just because—in this case—the king has rejected Father—in our case today in 2023, the entirety of the government has rejected Him—doesn’t mean that individually we too have to forsake Him, we can still privately Honor, Love, Serve and Worship Him. [15:3] And I will appoint^H6485 over^H5921 them four^H702 kinds,^H4940 saith^H5002 the LORD:^H3068 ^(H853) the sword^H2719 to slay,^H2026 and the dogs^H3611 to tear,^H5498 and the fowls^H5775 of the heaven,^H8064 and the beasts^H929 of the earth,^H776 to devour^H398 and destroy.^H7843   —>   Father is about to unleash four kinds of destruction upon Israel because of their forsaking Him. This is also getting to what we call the “four hidden dynasties” of today. Four divine agencies of destruction to where those who choose not to study Father’s Word will be taken in by them, and in the end destroyed. These four hidden dynasties are mentioned in Zechariah 1:18, and are called the “four horns of power.” We too in this generation have the four hidden dynasties to form the minds of the people into the acceptance of the new world order. They are the “Economy;”—money, industry, banking and commerce—“Education;” “Politics;” and “Religion.” The leftist orientated minds are in full control of all of these dynasties, and they are taking all of mankind into captivity. The more left they get, the more they leave Father out of their plans and thoughts. Father is telling us that if the People choose this type of government, let them have it and be destroyed by it. In these days we have to be wiser then the serpent—and those kenites—and beat them at their own game. That is why we must know our Father’s Word, for all their plans for our day are laid out in it, and Father warns us that we must seal it in our minds. [15:4] And I will cause^H5414 them to be removed^H2189 into all^H3605 kingdoms^H4467 of the earth,^H776 because of^H1558 Manasseh^H4519 the son^H1121 of Hezekiah^H3169 king^H4428 of Judah,^H3063 for^H5921 that which^H834 he did^H6213 in Jerusalem.^H3389   —>   Though it is Manasseh’s fault, it is also the Priest’s and the People’s fault for allowing him to get away with what he did—just like us today who allow our Representatives and our Judges to get away with what we allow them to get away with—in leading the Nation astray from Father. [15:5] For^H3588 who^H4310 shall have pity^H2250 upon^H5921 thee, O Jerusalem?^H3389 or who^H4310 shall bemoan^H5110 thee? or who^H4310 shall go aside^H5493 to ask^H7592 how thou doest?^H7965   —>   Nobody had any pity; nor should they had, as it was their own fault. Father is telling Jeremiah to tell the People that there will be nobody who cares what their condition is when they are crying peace, peace, and are taken into captivity. Brethren, there wasn’t any during Manasseh and Jeremiah’s day, and looking around today, we see that we too are running headlong into the captivity of one worldism, and only those sealed with the Word of God truly know what danger they are in. Soon, the false messiah will arrive, and they will know what false peace can be. He shows us in Jeremiah 35:13-17—(Click here)—how disappointed He is with His Children not listening to Him, while satan’s children do listen to their father.

II Chronicles 33:10 And the LORD^H3068 spake^H1696 to^H413 Manasseh,^H4519 and to^H413 his People:^H5971

but they would not^H3808 hearken.^H7181   —>   Parents out there, how do you feel when you tell you children something; or, to do or not do something and they don’t listen to you? Magnify your feelings a thousand-fold or more and you’ll begin to see, feel, and understand, how Father feels as this—not being hearers, obeyers and doers of what He desires of His Children—has been going on for millions of years, since the First Earth Age, before we were even in the flesh.

Let’s go to the parallel of this Chapter, let’s turn to II Kings 21:10—(Click here)—and read what transpired: II Kings 21:10 And the LORD^H3068 spake^H1696 by^H3027 his servants^H5650 the prophets,^H5030 saying,^H559   —>   As we read from Jeremiah 15—(Click here)—above, we know that Father had sent Jeremiah to try and persuade Manasseh to change his evil ways, all to no avail. What is Father to do? [21:11] Because^H3282 ^H834 Manasseh^H4519 king^H4428 of Judah^H3063 hath done^H6213 these^H428 abominations,^H8441 and hath done wickedly^H7489 above all^H4480 ^H3605 that^H834 the Amorites^H567 did,^H6213 which^H834 were before^H6440 him, and hath made^(H853) Judah^H3063 also^H1571 to sin^H2398 with his idols:^H1544   —>   Father considered what Manasseh did was worse even than what the Amorites did. Who were and what did the Amorites do? The Amorites were the descendants of Canaan—see Genesis 10:15-16—the son bore through the incestuous copulation of Noah’s wife and her own son Ham, on the night Noah got drunk and Ham saw his father’s nakedness—see Genesis 9:21-27 and Leviticus 20:11. OK, so now that we know who the Amorites are, what was it which they did? Thousands of years ago, Father told Abraham that He was going to send his offspring—of which he didn’t even have any as yet—down to Egypt for those 400 years, in order that, the Amorites’ descendants could continue fulfill their iniquity; let’s read it, we find it in Genesis 15:12-16—(Click here): Genesis 15:12 And when the sun^H8121 was going down,^H935 a deep sleep^H8639 fell^H5307 upon^H5921 Abram;^H87 and, lo,^H2009 an horror^H367 of great^H1419 darkness^H2825 fell^H5307 upon^H5921 him.   —>   Don’t be frightened or otherwise confused by this phrase, “an horror of great darkness.” In the Hebrew manuscripts it states, that a deep sleep or trance came upon Abram, and Father did this to show us that Abram had no part in the sleep, or the Covenant process; meaning, The Covenant was by Father YHVH to Abram, and was unconditional. Father YHVH was and is the contracting or issuing party, and as such, it comes from Father YHVH. [15:13] And He said^H559 unto Abram,^H87 “Know of a surety^H3045 ^H3045 that^H3588 thy seed^H2233 shall be^H1961 a stranger^H1616 in a land^H776 that is not^H3808 theirs, (and shall serve^H5647 them; and they shall afflict^H6031 them) four^H702 hundred^H3967 years;^H8141   —>   From this verse, we can infer Father is telling Abram of the upcoming captivity of his descendants—the Israelites—our forefathers—in Egypt. The term of captivity appears to be 400 years; however, this may not be the case at all. It is possible—and this Pastor and author of this Study absolutely believes it probable—that the identification of 400 years is more of a loose chronological timeline than an actual specific measure of time. In other words, it may very well be, that Father YHVH is telling Abram that “in 400 years’ time, the captivity will end,” instead of telling him they will be slaves for 400 years. In this light, you have to remember that when Jacob and his family moved to Egypt to escape the famine in Canaan, they were not immediately put into bondage as slaves. It was only after enough time had passed to encompass: (1) his descendants’ travel into Egypt; (2) their multiplication and prosperity in the land of Egypt; (3) there arose up a new pharaoh over Egypt, which knew not Joseph; (4) the pharaoh’s gradual exertion of control over the Israelites to the point of making them full-fledged slaves, who were put under great “affliction;” (5) the pharaoh’s order to kill male children to keep the Israelites from getting more powerful; and (6) that the man Moses would return to Egypt to petition pharaoh to free his people, resulting in the eventual exodus of our forefathers from Egypt. Father YHVH’s Word states in Exodus 12:40—(Click here)—that: “Now the sojourning^H4186 of the children^H1121 of Israel,^H3478 (who^H834 dwelt^H3427 in Egypt),^H4714 was four^H702 hundred^H3967 and thirty^H7970 years.^H8141,” and 12:41—(Click here)—continues: “And it came to pass^H1961 at the end^H4480 ^H7093 of the four^H702 hundred^H3967 thirty^H7970 years,^H8141 even the selfsame^H2088 ^H6106 day^H3117 it came to pass,^H1961 that all^H3605 the hosts^H6635 of the LORD^H3068 went out^H3318 from the land^H4480 ^H776 of Egypt.^H4714.” Dr. Bullinger, in his notes in his Companion Bible concerning these verses, states that: “there are two reckonings of the sojourning: one starting from the “promise” to Abraham stated in Exodus 12:40, and in Galatians 3:14,17=430 years, the other reckoning starting from the recognition of Abraham’s “seed” (Isaac), Genesis 21:12. See Acts 7 and Genesis 15:13 = 400 years. N.B. 450 years to Samuel; 490 to Saul. See App. 50 iii—(Click here)—and vii. 7. This dwelling in Egypt was only 215 years (see App. 50); and is to be distinguished from the “sojourning” which was another 215 years. Of note, “the selfsame day” referred to in verse 41, when calculated using the solar calendar, is found to be the same day that Abraham left “Ur of the Chaldees.”. …thy seed…=Isaac, Jacob, and then all Jacob’s descendants. Stephen gives a wonderful accounting of this incident in Genesis 15—(Click here)—to the counsels in Acts 7. Sharpen up for me, for the next few verses tells us why Father will send Abram’s descendants down to Egypt. [15:14] And also^H1571 ^(H853) that nation,^H1471 whom^H834 they shall serve,^H5647 will I^H595 judge:^H1777 and afterward^H310 ^H3651 shall they come out^H3318 with great^H1419 substance.^H7399   —>   Father wanted to judge the Egyptians. Why? Because they were serving other gods — lower case “g.” The gods the Egyptians were serving can be seen in the plagues which Father brought upon the them just prior to the exodus — insects, animals, water, pestilence, etc., there is also another reason, and we’ll read of it when we come to verse v15:16—(Click here). [15:15] And thou^H859 shalt go^H935 to^H413 thy fathers^H1 in peace;^H7965 thou shalt be buried^H6912 in a good^H2896 old age.^H7872   —>   Father promises Abram a long life, and he fulfills that promise, as Abram lived to be 175 years old, having never served false gods or idols. Abram’s forefathers on the other hand, were idolaters as we can read in Joshua 24:2. Sharpen up for me again, as the next verse is also extremely important as to why Father sent them down to Egypt. [15:16] But in the fourth^H7243 generation^H1755 they shall come hither again:^H7725 ^H2008 for ^H3588 the iniquity^H5771 of the Amorites^H567 is not^H3808 yet^H5704 ^H2008 full.”^H8003   —>   Father wanted Abram’s descendants — Isaac’s son Jacob—later named Israel “The Prince that prevails with God,” by Father—and his children — the Israelites out of this land, Canaan — The Promised Land, in order for the Amorites to continue what they were doing — “the iniquity of the Amorites.” What was their iniquity? What is it that they were doing? They were messing with, and mating with, the fallen angels which had come back after the flood of Noah’s time, which we can read of in Genesis 6:1-4—(Click here). This mating produced hybrid offspring — the “mighty men” or the gibbor — the giants. The same as Goliath and Og to name two, but there were many more — Goliath’s brother had six fingers on each hand and six toes on each foot. These Amorites were of the Adamic seedline — the seedline through which Father Himself would be born as His Son Emmanuel — God with us — Jesus Christ. Therefore, He was not about to let this mixing continue for too long, just long enough for Abram’s descendants to grow in number and strength, so that He could bring them back to utterly destroy these people and the hybrid offspring. Sadly, most Christians have no knowledge why Father would tell our forefathers to “utterly destroy” these people — man, woman and child — but they accept the fact that He said to do so. Let’s return to II Kings 21—(Click here)—before we return to II Chronicles 33—(Click here). [21:12] Therefore^H3651 thus^H3541 saith^H559 the LORD^H3068 God^H430 of Israel,^H3478 ‘Behold,^H2009 I am bringing^H935 such evil^H7451 upon^H5921 Jerusalem^H3389 and Judah,^H3063 that^H834 whosoever^H3605 heareth^H8085 of it, both^H8147 his ears^H241 shall tingle.^H6750   —>   …his ears shall tingle=Father is going to perform something astonishing. We can compare this with the other two times Father utters words similar to these: once in I Samuel 3:11—(Click here)—when Father told Samuel, that, “He was going to perform against Eli—remember brethren, Eli was the Priest and the Judge of Israel at this time, and Samuel was Eli’s apprentice—all things which He had spoken concerning Eli’s house: and that ‘when He began, He would also make an end, for He had told him that He would judge his house for ever for the iniquity which he knoweth; because his sons made themselves vile, and he restrained them not.’o” The second time can be found in Jeremiah 19:3, where Father pronounced what He was going to do to the House of Judah and Jerusalem because they had turned their backs on Him. I suggest and recommend the student read Jeremiah 18 and Jeremiah 19 to get the full understanding of what Father said. Let’ check out this word “tingle” in our Strong’s Concordance, when we do, we find the word tingle is Hebrew word number: H6750, - צָלַל, - tsâlal, - pronounced: tsaw-lalי, and means: A primitive root (rather identical with H6749 through the idea of vibration); to tinkle, that is, rattle together (as the ears in reddening with shame, or the teeth in chattering with fear): - quiver, tingle. Total KJV occurrences: 4.. So, in other words, it means that Father is going to do something in Israel which will cause all the people who hear of this event, to be astonished. Though this “thing” is a series of events; however, the start was initially with Eli and his sons and which we’re now seeing again with Manasseh. There are great changes that Father is about to make in Judah, remember that because of Eli and his sons, the Judgeship was taken away from the priesthood, and placed in a monarchy, or state of government — outside the temple or church. Father is about to bring about a separation between the church and the state of Father’s people, and that carries on right down to our day—2023—in both America and England. [21:13] And I will stretch^H5186 over^H5921 Jerusalem^H3389 ^(H853) the line^H6957 of Samaria,^H8111 and the plummet^H4949 of the house^H1004 of Ahab:^H256 and I will wipe^H4229 ^(H853) Jerusalem^H3389 as^H834 a man wipeth^H4229 ^(H853) a dish,^H6747 wiping^H5229 it, and turning^H2015 it upside down.^H5921 ^H6440   —>   Here, Father is telling Jeremiah to tell Manasseh, that He is going to judge Jerusalem with the same plummet line with which He had judged king Ahab, Jezebel, and all their offspring, because of all their wickedness. Do you remember what happened to Ahab, and Jezebel, and all their family? Every single one of them were killed, all the seed royal was murdered, and then the kingdom was hauled away into captivity, to where even the People today have lost their identity. Father is telling Manasseh, that, everything of Jerusalem will be wiped clean and from off the face of the earth. From our stand-point today, we know that when Nebuchadnezzar destroyed Jerusalem and the Nation of Judah, it took him and his army three trips to remove the things of Judah back into Babylon. He took the gold and silver and those things of value first; then he came back to take the brass and things of less value; and on his last trip, he hauled the People out, with their toilets, and left the Temple and walls as rubble, in complete destruction. Father used Nebuchadnezzar to finish the job that this prophecy of His foretold. [21:14] And I will forsake^H5203 ^(H853) the remnant^H7611 of Mine inheritance,^H5159 and deliver^H5414 them into the hand^H3027 of their enemies;^H341 and they shall become^H1961 a prey^H957 and a spoil^H4933 to all^H3605 their enemies;^H341   —>   …Mine inheritance…=Did you read that brethren? Father has an inheritance, did you know this prior to reading it here?

Jerusalem survived the calamities of II Kings 18:13—(Click here)—i.e., Sennacherib’s first invasion of Judah, where he captured those “46 fenced cities and strong holds, and smaller cities which were round about them, and which were without number, by the battering of rams, and the attack of engines, and by the assaults of foot soldiers, I besieged, I captured 200,100 people great and small, male and female, horses, mules, and asses, and camels, and men, and sheep innumerable from their midst I brought out, and I reckoned [them] as spoil. [Hezekiah] himself like a caged bird within Jerusalem, his royal city, I shut in.;” however, they will not survive those which Father is about to bring upon them; for, as we are about to read here in II Chronicles 33:11, Father is going to bring the king of Assyria, namely: Esar-haddon, who’ll take captive many peoples including two captives, i.e., Balou the king of Tyre, and Manasseh, who he’ll put rings and hooks through their noses and lips along with twelve other vassal kings and carry them off. [21:15] Because^H3282 ^H834 they have done^H6213 that which was^(H853) evil^H7451 in My sight,^H5869 and have^H1961 provoked Me to anger,^H3707 ^(H853) since^H4480 the day^H3117 their fathers^H1 came forth^H3318 out of Egypt,^H4480 ^H4714 even unto^H5704 this^H2088 day.’o”^H3117   —>   In the roughly 925 years—the Exodus from Egypt took place in 1491B.C., and we are currently in roughly Manasseh’s, let’s say, his 25^th year, that would make it approximately 563B.C.—since Father brought our forefathers up out of Egypt, they have continuously angered Father by their backsliding into idolatry; however, as we know, beside Ahab and Jezebel of the House of Israel, Manasseh was the worse king of the House of Judah to do so, and it is for this reason that Father is about to bring the king of Assyria against him and the People of Judah. [21:16] Moreover^H1571 Manasseh^H4519 shed^H8210 innocent^H5355 blood^H1818 very^H3966 much,^H7235 till^H5704 ^H834 he had filled^H4390 ^(H853) Jerusalem^H3389 from one end^H6310 to another;^H6310 beside his sin^H905 ^H4480 ^H2403 wherewith^H834 he made Judah to sin,^H2398 ^*H853) ^H3063 in doing^H6213 that which was evil^H7451 in the sight^H5869 of the LORD.^H3068   —>   …he shed innocent blood…=Manasseh killed many innocent People in Judah, including several of Father’s Prophets. Historically,—again, historically, not Biblically—he even had Father’s Prophet Isaiah killed by sawing him in half upon the stump of a tree, because, he didn’t care for Isaiah’s telling him to stop his idolatry and return his heart to Father; or, he would feel the wrath of Father. Biblical historian Josephus writes this: “When Manasseh, whose mother’s name was Hephzibah, of Jerusalem, had taken the kingdom, he departed from the conduct of his father, and fell into a course of life quite contrary thereto, and showed himself in his manners most wicked in all respects, and omitted no sort of impiety, but imitated those transgressions of the Israelites, by the commission of which against God they had been destroyed; for he was so hardy as to defile the temple of God, and the city, and the whole country; for, by setting out from a contempt of God, he barbarously slew all the righteous men that were among the Hebrews; nor would he spare the prophets, for he every day slew some of them, till Jerusalem was overflown with blood..”

Dr. Bullinger has an excellent note in his Companion Bible at this verse which states: “A monument has been found showing this king Esar-haddon leading two captives with hooks or rings through their lips. And in an inscription he says: “I transported (from Syria) into Assyria men and women innumerable ... I counted among the vassals of my realm twelve kings of Syria, beyond the mountains, Balou king of Tyre, and Manasseh king of Judah.”.” …thorns, and bound him with fetters…=Let’s check out three words in our Strong’s Concordance: “thorns,” “bound,” and “fetters:” thorns is in the Strong’s Concordance, Hebrew word number: H2336, - חוֹחַ, - chôach, - pronounced: khoי-akh, and means: From an unused root apparently meaning to pierce, a thorn, by analogy a ring for the nose: - bramble, thistle, thorn. Total KJV occurrences: 11.. Now bound, it in the Strong’s Concordance, is Hebrew word number: H631, - אָסַרi, - יâsar, - pronounced: aw-saי, and means: A primitive root; to yoke or hitch; by analogy to fasten in any sense, to join battle: - bind, fast, gird, harness, hold, keep, make ready, order, prepare, prison (-er), put in bonds, set in array, tie. Total KJV occurrences: 70.. And now fetters, it in the Strong’s Concordance, is Hebrew word number: H5178, - נְחֹשֶׁת, - n^echôsheth, - pronounced: nekh-oי-sheth, and means: For H5154; copper; hence, something made of that metal, that is, coin, a fetter; figuratively base (as compared with gold or silver): - brasen, brass, chain, copper, fetter (of brass), filthiness, steel. Total KJV occurrences: 140.. So when I said in my commentary above, that Esar-haddon put rings and hooks in Manasseh’s nose and lips, this where I claim this statement from; but also, because, Dr. Bullinger has a superb note in his Companion Bible at this verse which reads: “A monument has been found showing this king Esar-haddon leading two captives with hooks or rings through their lips. And in an inscription he says: “I transported (from Syria) into Assyria men and women innumerable … I counted among the vassals of my realm twelve kings of Syria, beyond the mountains, Balou king of Tyre, and Manasseh king of Judah.”O.” Let’s again turn to Biblical historian Josephus and read what he wrote concerning this period of time during Manasseh’s being taken captive: “So God was angry at these proceedings, and sent prophets to the king, and to the multitude, by whom He threatened the very same calamities to them which their brethren the Israelites, upon the like affronts offered to God, were now under. But these men would not believe their words, by which belief they might have reaped the advantage of escaping all those miseries; yet did they in earnest learn that what the prophets had told them was true. And when they persevered in the same course of life, God raised up war against them from the king of Babylon and Chaldea, who sent an army against Judea, and laid waste the country; and caught king Manasseh by treachery, and ordered him to be brought to him, and had him under his power to inflict what punishment he pleased upon him.”. We’ll read more from Josephus in our next verse.
Assyria
Assyria=Assyria plays a prominent role in the history of our frefathers and also during the time of Father’s Prophet: Jonah. But, before we come to the history of our forefathers, Assyria is mentioned two times in The Book of Genesis, the first time in Genesis 2:14—(Click here)—where we read of it in relation to where Father planted His Garden, the Garden of Eden; the second time—Genesis 25:18—is when we read of Abram and his wife Sarai’s concubine Hagar’s son Ishmael was dying, and he was gathered to his people who “…dwelt from Havilah unto Shur, that is before Egypt, as thou goest toward Assyria:….” Assyria is not mentioned again until we come to the history of our forefathers—II Kings 15—(Click here)—when we begin reading of Menahem, the sixteenth king of the House of Israel since the reign and rule of king Solomon. We read that Pul—pronounced Pool, who was also known as, or called, Tiglath-pileser—which is a title, not a name—king of Assyria, came up against Manahem, and because Menahem was evil and Father was not with him, he gave Pul a thousand talents of silver per year, that Pul’s hand might be with him to confirm the kingdom into his hand. Several years later—II Kings 16—(Click here)—and with different kings of both the House of Israel and the House of Judah, Pekah, the king of the House of Israel joined with Rezin the king of Syria to come against Ahaz, king of Judah. Fearing defeat, Ahaz secretly sent to Tiglath-pileser, king of Assyria, asking his assistance in overcoming Pekah and Rezin. In doing so, Ahaz raided the treasuries of Father’s House and that of his own personal stash—notice Who he didn’t seek for assistance brethren, Father YHVH, because he turned his back on Father. In coming to Ahaz’s aid, Tiglath-pileser—remember brethren, this is a title, not a name, and as such, we don’t know this king’s name—marched his army to Damascus, the capital city of Syria and defeated the city, taking the people of Damascus captive and also slew Rezin. The next mention of Assyria—II Kings 17—(Click here)—finds Ahaz still king of the House of Judah, but with Hosea now reigning and ruling over the House of Israel. Here, Shalmaneser, king of Assyria, comes against Hosea, overcomes Hosea and he becomes Shalmaneser’s servant, or otherwise called, a vasal king. After several years of paying tribute to Shalmaneser, Hosea decided he no longer wanted to be in the position he found himself in, so he sent to So, the king of Egypt seeking his assistance in overcoming Shalmaneser. This failed, and Shalmaneser came against Hosea and the House Israel, beginning a besiegement which lasted three years. During this besiegement, Shalmaneser died and Assyria was now ruled by Sargon II who continued the besiegement and ultimately defeated the Nation, taking all the inhabitants of the House of Israel captive, carrying 27,290 elites plus commoners back to Assyria, thereby causing the Nation of the House of Israel to cease to exist as a Nation. Father had sent prophet after prophet to warn the House of Israel to stop worshipping false gods and idols, but they would not hear, and it was for this reason He brought the Assyrians against the House of Israel. Years prior—approximately 80-90 years prior—to the actual besiegement of the Assyrians, Father came to His Prophet Jonah and told him to go to Jeroboam, the son of Joash, and tell him to fortify the city and destroy all the false gods and idols. But, Israel would not hear. Father again came to Jonah, Who told him to go to Nineveh, the capital city of Assyria, against the people thereof for all their wicked evilness. Jonah, knowing and understanding what would befall Israel—that years from his prophesying against the nation, the Assyrians would overcome Israel and take them into captivity—decided he didn’t want to warn the Assyrians, so he tried to flee by boarding a ship. Father YHVH brought about a great wind storm and tempest, whereby the ship was in danger of breaking up. All the crew began lightening the ship by throwing everything not fastened overboard, and then praying to their gods. Jonah himself went below and fell asleep. The ship’s master found the sleeping Jonah and chastised him for sleeping and not praying to his God for assistance. The crew then cast lots to see whose fault it was that this calamity fell upon them, and the lot fell to Jonah. The ship’s master and crew then started questioning Jonah as to who he was, where he came from and why he brought this calamity upon them, for they knew he had fled from Father YHVH because he had previously told then. They then asked Jonah what they should do to him and he replied that they should throw him overboard. Not wanting to be blamed for casting one of Father YHVH’s Prophets into the sea, the entire crew astonishingly then prays to Father YHVH asking that He not hold them accountable for their actions, as they do as Jonah suggests, and cast him into the sea. The very moment they do so, Father stopped the sea from raging. Father had also prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah as soon as he was cast into the sea, and Jonah was in the fish’s belly for three days and three nights. When the fish opened its mouth, it was right there at the shoreline of Nineveh, right there where the Ninevites were on the shore to witness Jonah emerge from the fish’s mouth. Of course, at the time the Ninevites were worshippers of dagon, the fish god. And upon seeing Jonah step forth out of this fish’s mouth and hearing what Jonah was prophesying against the Ninevites, they fell on their knees, repented of their evil ways and worshipped Father YHVH. † For the etymology of the name Assyria, we read the following in Abarim Publications: “The name Asshur is highly similar to the Hebrew name Asher (אשר) but is spelled with a waw before the resh. Original peopling. - Scripture informs us that Assyria was peopled from Babylon, Genesis 10:11, and both classical tradition and the monuments of the country agree in this representation. Date of the foundation of the kingdom. - As a country, Assyria was evidently known to Moses, Genesis 2:14; Genesis 25:18; Numbers 24:22; Numbers 24:24. The foundation of the Assyrian empire was probably not very greatly anterior. History. - The Mesopotamian researches have rendered it apparent that the original seat of government was not at Nineveh, but at Kileh-Sherghat, on the right bank of the Tigris. The most remarkable monarch of the earlier kings was called Tiglath-pileser. He appears to have been king towards the close of the twelfth century, and thus to have been contemporary with Samuel. Afterwards, followed Pul, who invaded Israel in the reign of Menahem, II Kings 15:29, and Shalmaneser who besieged Samaria three years, and destroyed the kingdom of Israel, himself or by his successor Sargon, who usurped the throne at that time. Under Sargon, the empire was as great as at any former era, and Nineveh became a most beautiful city. Sargon’s son Sennacherib became the most famous of the Assyrian kings. He invaded the kingdom of Judea in the reign of Hezekiah. He was followed by Esarhaddon, and he by a noted warrior and builder, Sardanapalus. In Scripture, it is remarkable that we hear nothing of Assyria after the reign of Esarhaddon, and profane history is equally silent until the attacks began which brought about her downfall. The fall of Assyria, long previously prophesied by Isaiah, Isaiah 10:5-19, was effected by the growing strength and boldness of the Medes. The prophecies of Nahum and Zephaniah Zephaniah 2:13-15 against Assyria were probably delivered shortly before the catastrophe. General character of the empire. - The Assyrian monarchs bore sway over a number of petty kings through the entire extent of their dominions. These native princes were feudatories of the great monarch, of whom they held their crown by the double tenure of homage and tribute. It is not quite certain how far Assyria required a religious conformity from the subject people. Her religion was a gross and complex polytheism, comprising the worship of thirteen principal and numerous minor divinities, at the head of all of whom stood the chief god, Asshur, who seems to be the deified patriarch of the nation, Genesis 10:22. Civilization of the Assyrians. - The civilization of the Assyrians was derived originally from the Babylonians. They were a Shemitic race originally resident in Babylonia (which at that time was Cushite) and thus acquainted with the Babylonian inventions and discoveries, who ascended the valley of the Tigris and established in the tract immediately below the Armenian mountains a separate and distinct nationality. Still, as their civilization developed it became in many respects peculiar. Their art is of home growth. But they were still in the most important points barbarians. Their government was rude and inartificial, their religion coarse and sensual, and their conduct of war cruel. Modern discoveries in Assyria. - (Much interest has been excited in reference to Assyria by the discoveries lately made there, which confirm and illustrate the Bible. The most important of them is the finding of the stone tablets or books which formed the great library at Nineveh, founded by Shalmaneser, but embodying tablets written 2000 years B.C. This library was more than doubled by Sardanapalus. These tablets were broken into fragments, but many of them have been put together and deciphered by the late Mr. George Smith, of the British Museum. All these discoveries of things hidden for ages, but now come to light, confirm the Bible. - Editor).”.

Manasseh humbling himself and seeking Father is not recorded in II Kings 21—(Click here). I remind you brethren of what I wrote in my introduction: i.e., that we are reading things in the Esoteric, meaning, we are reading things from Father’s point of view or perspective, or in other words, events viewed from the Divine standpoint, and as seen and understood by the spiritual mind, therefore, it should come as no surprise that these events of Manasseh humbling himself and seeking Father are not recorded in II Kings 21—(Click here). And we’ll again turn to the writings of Biblical historian Josephus who writes: “But then it was that Manasseh perceived what a miserable condition he was in, and esteeming himself the cause of all, he besought God to render his enemy humane and merciful to him.” So, Manasseh realized and understood that he was the cause of his own downfall, he brought this calamity upon himself.

The point of these The Books of the Chronicles of the Kings, brethren, is, seek Father and you will find Him, I don’t care how much you have sinned—you can never sink to the depths of the sins of Manasseh—repent and He will forgive you your sins. This is what He desires as we read in II Peter 3:9, which reads: II Peter 3:9 The^G3588 Lord^G2962 is not slack^G1019 ^G3756 concerning His promise,^G1860 as^G5613 some men^G5100 count^G2233 slackness;^G1022 but^G235 is longsuffering^G3114 to^G1519 us-ward,^G2248 not^G3361 willing^G1014 that any^G5100 should perish,^G622 but^G235 that all^G3956 should come^G5562 to^G1519 repentance.^G3341 What did Jesus teach us concerning the forgiveness of our sins? Now Manasseh finally humbles himself, turns to Father, seeks Him with his whole heart and Father hears his prayer. He not only heard his prayer; but, He delivers Manasseh out of the hand of the enemy, returning him to Jerusalem.

With his prayer answered, and his return to Jerusalem, unlike several kings before him, who, once delivered, they went right back to their evil ways, or even in some cases, served the gods of the peoples they were just delivered from, Manasseh correctly and rightly gives Father His due diligence and Praises Him. Josephus writes the following concerning this: “Accordingly, God heard his prayer, and granted him what he prayed for. So Manasseh was released by the king of Babylon, and escaped the danger he was in; and when he was come to Jerusalem, he endeavored, if it were possible, to cast out of his memory those his former sins against God, of which he now repented, and to apply himself to a very religious life. He sanctified the temple, and purged the city, and for the remainder of his days he was intent on nothing but to return his thanks to God for his deliverance, and to preserve him propitious to him all his life long. He also instructed the multitude to do the same, as having very nearly experienced what a calamity he was fallen into by a contrary conduct.”.

…Manasseh knew that the LORD he was God=It should have never been any doubt, but, man being man, we, sadly, quickly forget or purposely choose to ignore our Father. All Manasseh had to do was read what had already been written concerning every king of both houses who came before him. There are many writings in Father’s Word concerning this phrase and Who Father is. I’m going to bring in just a few, beginning with when Manasseh’s and our forefathers were also in bondage as Manasseh found himself in. Let’s begin in: Deuteronomy 4: Deuteronomy 4:35 Unto thee^H859 it was shewed,^H7200 that thou mightest know^H3045 that^H3588 the LORD^H3068 he^H1931 is God;^H430 there is none^H369 else^H5750 beside^H4480 ^H905 Him. Our next time hearing this phrase was during Solomon’s dedication of Father’s Temple, during his dedication Prayer, we read in I Kings 8:60—(Click here)—that he spoke this phrase to our forefathers: I Kings 8:60 That^H4616 all^H3605 the people^H5971 of the earth^H776 may know^H3045 that^H3588 the LORD^H3068 is God,^H430 and that there is none^H369 else.^H5750   —>   Notice Solomon didn’t just include our forefathers in this phrase, no, he said “That all the people of the earth may know that the LORD is God, and that there is none else..” [8:61] Let your heart^H3824 therefore be^H1961 perfect^H8003 with^H5973 the LORD^H3068 our God,^H430 to walk^H1980 in His statutes,^H2706 and to keep^H8104 His commandments,^H4687 as at this^H2088 day.^H3117. He did so giving each and every one of us free-will to choose to love and serve Him or no, however, with that free-will also comes the condition, He told us of this condition while still in our Spiritual body, if we choose to not love Him, then during the Great White Throne Seat of Judgment at the end of Jesus’ 1,000 Millennial reign, our Spiritual body will be cast into the Lake of Fire and be completely consumed, and that soul will cease to exist. Father and our adversary satan cannot and will not win the war, the created cannot defeat the Creator!

So, returning to Manasseh’s plight, he knew, or finally figured out that he had brought all his calamity upon himself because of his disregarding Father and serving evilness, he knew it was Father Who sent him into bondage, so he sought Father, repented of his sins and Father returned him to Jerusalem. What will he do now?

II Chronicles 33:14 Now after^H310 this^H3651 he built^H1129 a wall^H2346 without^H2435 the city^H5892 of David,^H1732 on the west side^H4628 of Gihon,^H1521 (a stream; or, a stream) (ghee-khoneי) in the valley,^H5158 even to the entering in^H935 at the fish^H1709 gate,^H8179 and compassed about^H5437 Ophel,^H6077 (a ridge; or, hill) (o-felי) and raised it up a very great height,^H1361 ^H3966 and put^H7760 captains^H8269 of war^H2428 in all^H3605 the fenced^H1219 cities^H5892 of Judah.^H3063 (celebrated; and, praised, celebrated) (yeh-hoo-dawי)   —>   Once Father restored Manasseh to Jerusalem, Manasseh, having had his fill of having hooks and chains run through his lips and nose, he decides it’s time to re-fortify the city and country of the territories of Judah. The first thing he does is have his men rebuild, or repair the wall around the entire city of Jerusalem; this included the City of David, which was also known as Zion and or Ophel. Dr. Bullinger has an excellent writing and drawing of this in his Companion Bible in Appendix 68—Click here). At the same time, he also redeployed some of his warfighters to all the fenced cities in Judah, thereby beefing-up the safety and security of the Nation.
Gihon
Gihon=Gihon was both a location and a body of water. Our first association with Gihon post the description in Genesis 2:13—(Click here)—is during the coronation of Solomon as king of the House of Israel—I Kings 1:33-45—(Click here)—where we read of David lying on his deathbed and his son Adonijah trying to steal the throne from the rightful heir Solomon. Adonijah had his uncle Joab, Commanding General of the Israelite army, and Abiathar one of the two High Priests at the time, assisting in his attempted theft, he had even gone so far as to slaughter sheep, oxen and fatted calves, and to have fifty men running before him wherever he went who would say “make way for the king.” David’s seer Nathan caught wind of what Adonijah was up to and went to Bath-sheba and told her to go to David and inform him, and as she was doing so, he would come in to back up her claims, while she stepped back out. David then called Bath-sheba back into his room and told her to bring in Zadok, the other High Priest, Nathan and Benaiah, so he could instruct them to take some of the king’s guards and men, that they were to take Solomon, set him upon the king’s mule, bring him down to Gihon, anoint him with oil as king of Israel, and then blow the trumpets and anounce “God save king Solomon” and to then take him and set him upon the king’s throne. As they were to take Solomon to Gihon, we see that Gihon was an actual location, and it was located within the City of David, which is also called Ophel, and or zion, on the eastern side, in the Kidron Valley. As for the body of water called Gihon, which was also called or known as “the virgin’s fount,” it was a natural spring, which must have been a sacred place to our forefathers, as, it was where David selected for the coronation of his son Solomon. It was the one true spring of Jerusalem, the original source of attraction to the site of the early settlers; it was situated in the Kidron valley on the East side of “Ophel,” and due South of the Temple area. Its position is clearly defined in the Old Testament. When Sennacherib, king of Assyria sent his ambassadors and his army against King Hezekiah and began his siege against Jerusalem—II Chronicles 32:2-30—(Click here)—king Hezekiah had his mighty men “stop the waters of the fountains,” which was not a stoppage at all, what he did was make an aqueduct, and then cover-over the stream in order that the water continued to flow into the city, while at the same time, hid the stream from the Assyrian army, which made them to take caravans and seek water from somewhere else. King Hezekiah’s son, King Manasseh “built an outer wall to the city of David, on the West side of Gihon, in the valley”—II Chronicles 33:14—(Click here). The spring was approached by a steep descent down 30 steps, the water rising deep underground; the condition was due to the vast accumulation of rubbish, the result of the many destructions of the city, which to this day fills the valley bed. Originally the water ran down the open valley. The water rises from a long deep crack in the rock, partly under the lowest of the steps and to a lesser extent in the mouth of a small cave, into which all the water pours. The village women of Siloam obtain the water at the mouth of the cave, but when the supply is scanty they actually go under the lowest step, where there is a kind of chamber, and fill their vessels there. At the farther end of this cave is the opening leading into the aqueduct down which the water flows to emerge after many windings at the pool of Siloam. The first part of this aqueduct is older than even the time of Hezekiah. † For the etymology of the name Gihon, we read the following in Abarim Publications: “The name Gihon is derived from the verb גיח (giah) meaning to burst forth: Harris Archer Waltke (HAW) Theological Wordbook of the Old Testament calls the river the Gusher, or Bubbler, although “Bubbler” seems a bit too tame. Jones’ Dictionary of Old Testament Proper Names reads Great Breaking Forth (Of Waters), but that seems a bit over the top. New Open Bible Study Edition (NOBSE) Study Bible Name List reads Bursting Forth.”. † Now from the Strong’s Concordance, where we find that it is Hebrew word number: H1521, - גִּיחוֹןi, or גִּחוֹן, - gı̂ychôn , or gichôn, - pronounced: ghee-khoneי, or ghee-khoneי, and means: From H1518; stream; Gichon, a river of Paradise; also a valley (or pool) near Jerusalem: - Gihon. Total KJV occurrences: 6.. † Now from the Easton’s Bible Dictionary, where we read: “a stream. The only natural spring of water in or near Jerusalem is the “Fountain of the Virgin” (q.v.), which rises outside the city walls on the west bank of the Kidron valley. On the occasion of the approach of the Assyrian army under Sennacherib, Hezekiah, in order to prevent the besiegers from finding water, “stopped the upper water course of Gihon, and brought it straight down to the west side of the city of David,” II Chronicles 32:30; 33:14. This “fountain” or spring is therefore to be regarded as the “upper water course of Gihon.” From this “fountain” a tunnel cut through the ridge which forms the south part of the temple hill conveys the water to the Pool of Siloam, which lies on the opposite side of this ridge at the head of the Tyropoeon (“cheesemakers’o”) valley, or valley of the son of Hinnom, now filled up by rubbish. The length of this tunnel is about 1,750 feet. In 1880 an inscription was accidentally discovered on the wall of the tunnel about nineteen feet from where it opens into the Pool of Siloam. This inscription was executed in all probability by Hezekiah’s workmen. It briefly narrates the history of the excavation. It may, however, be possible that this tunnel was executed in the time of Solomon. If the “waters of Shiloah that go softly” (Isaiah 8:6) refers to the gentle stream that still flows through the tunnel into the Pool of Siloam, then this excavation must have existed before the time of Hezekiah. In the upper part of the Tyropoeoan valley there are two pools still existing, the first, called Birket el-Mamilla, to the west of the Jaffa gate; the second, to the south of the first, called Birket es-Sultan. It is the opinion of some that the former was the “upper” and the latter the “lower” Pool of Gihon, (II Kings 18:17; Isaiah 7:3; 36:2; 22:9). (See CONDUIT; SILOAM).”.

What Father’s Word and the chronicler who wrote concerning these happenings did not write, or say, is whether Manasseh instructed his People to destroy all these idolatrous false gods and the altars, it just notes that he had them removed. In either case, we see a reformation taking place in the House of Judah.

I said that Father’s Word and the chronicler did not write concerning whether Manasseh’s idolatrous false gods, images and altars were destroyed or not. That was a true statement for this verse, as, we’ll read below in verse v33:22—(Click here)—that his son Amon will restore his father’s images, altars and false gods, and re-institute the practice of worshipping them in Judah.

Manasseh saw that the ways of his father Hezekiah were correct and righteous, and he therefore turned himself and his nation back to the One and Only True Living God. Most people just don’t understand that Father desires to protect you and bless you, He doesn’t look to see who He can zap everyday; however, He does give us the choice of the way we will follow for our lives. The choice is our own, He has given us the Free-will to choose. At the beginning of Manasseh’s reign and rule, he chose the ways of satan, and his offspring, the kenites, but after he hit the very bottom of his life, he came to realize that he was following the wrong path. Therefore he humbled himself, repented and sought to do things Father’s way and was Blessed because of his doing so.

In Manasseh’s day, the way back to Father was through animal sacrifices at the altar of Father. After the death of our Lord Jesus Christ, Father provided the way for you and I can go directly to Him, and our way is “in Jesus Name.” Why? Because we are telling Father that we believe in our heart, that the death and blood of Christ was sufficient to cover our sins, and in repentance we humble ourselves before him, just as Manasseh did while in chains in that Assyrian prison.

They were doing things their way, not as Father told them how or where He desired to be worshipped. And when we do things our way and not His, that places us above Father and is illegal in His eyes. He began his reign and rule as being Judah’s most vile, evil king; however, Father got his attention when He sent the king of Assyria against him, who put rings and chains through his lips and nose, and carried him away captive. It was at that point, that Manasseh turned his life around, repented of all the evilness he did and sought Father and His forgiveness. Remember, Manasseh was the longest reigning king of Judah—he reigned for 55 years, from the age of twelve to sixty-seven years of age, from 588-533B.C., his reign and rule ending 56 years before Nebuchadnezzar took Judah into captivity for seventy years—Father’s Word doesn’t tell us what year or how long he was in captivity, nor does it record what year he came out of that captivity and began his reformation of the Nation, it only records that he repented, and brought about a good change in Judah.

Even Edgar J. Goodspeed, who probably has the best out there, notes the following in his Translated Apocrypha: “Just as the letter of Jeremiah and the Prayer of Azariah supply documents hinted at in Canonical books, so the present document purports to be the prayer which II Chronicles 33:18 asserts was recorded “in the Books of the kings of Israel.” The prayer is well constructed and well proportioned, and it expresses a deep personal religious feeling. It was written, possibly in Greek, around 100B.C.” This Pastor and author of this Study, does accept the Prayer of Manasseh in Goodspeed’s Translated Apocrypha to be the actual Prayer of Manasseh. Dr. Bullinger in his Companion Bible notes the following: “Not recorded. That given in the Apocrypha not considered genuine.” I’ll leave it to the reader to decide.

Yes, what Manasseh did is well recorded in Father’s Word; both his evilness which he brought about in Judah and how he humbled himself, repented and brought about reformation as his father, Hezekiah, had. Father, I truly believe, forgave Manasseh. And, remember brethren, when Jesus was Crucified, the first thing He did—as we read in I Peter 3:18-19—was went back to all those who were under the Law, meaning, He went and offered Salvation and Eternal Life to all those who lived before He was Crucified.

Amon
Amon=Amon was the son of king Manasseh and his wife Meshullemeth. He was born in the year 555B.C. and was married to a woman Jedidah, who gave birth to his son Josiah—yes, that Josiah, the same whose birth was Propisied by Father some 300 years before his birth. Amon succeeded his father as king of the House of Judah, he took over the throne in the year 533B.C., at the age of twenty-two, and reigned and ruled for only two years; he was the fourteenth king of the House of Judah. Amon only did that which was evil in Father’s eyes, forsaking Him, and restoring the false gods, idols and images which his father had made and then discarded, and serving them—Zephaniah 1:4; 3:4,11 refers to the moral depravity prevailing of Amon’s reign. Amon’s own servants conspired against him and slew him, and then the People of the land slew his servants and made Amon’s son Josiah king over them. † For the etymology of the name Amon, we read the folllowing in Abarim Publications: “The Hebrew name Amon comes from the verb אמן ss(יaman), meaning to support or confirm: For a meaning of the name Amon, Brown Driver Briggs (BDB) Theological Dictionary and New Oen Bible Study Edition (NOBSE) Study Bible Name List both read Master Workman. As I stated in my commentary of verse v33:18 above, Father’s Word does not say when Manasseh was taken into captivity, how long his captivity lasted, or in what year he was released and returned to Jerusalem; as such; we don’t know what year he began his reformation of the Nation, and we also don’t know how old Amon was or if he was even born while his father was doing the evilness. What I’m trying to get at, is we don’t know and Father’s Word doesn’t say why Amon committed the evilness as his father had during the beginning of his reign and rule.

Like so many of the kings of both Houses, Israel and Judah, Amon completely forsook Father in order to honor, serve and worship false gods and idols; and as the old saying goes: as the king goes, so goes the Nation. Sadly Amon’s mother, Meshullemeth, being Manasseh’s wife, enjoyed too thoroughly the evil lifestyle which her husband had them participating in before he changed his ways; and now, we see that she passed those evil ways onto her 22 year old son for him to keep practicing, and re-establish for the People to worship in Jerusalem.

…trespassed more and more=In the Hebrew, this means that he multiplied his trespass against Father.

Even though Manasseh had removed that abominable graven golden image of his asherah grove, all the idolatrous altars, the false gods, the other graven images and idols from Jerusalem, what he didn’t do was to totally destroy them; and now, they’re being brought back in to Jerusalem and probably even into Father’s House for the king and the People to commit their idolatry.

Brethren, this is why I have stated many times throughout The Books of the Kings—(Click here)—and The Books of the Chronicles—(Click here)—“as the king goes, so goes the nation.” Why do I keep saying this? Because, if your king is worshiping false gods, he is going to demand you do the same. Think I’m over-stressing, or over-exaggerating? Let’s look at our presidents—brethren, every democrat president since I turned adult age has brought more and more evilness upon this Country, Bill Clinton brought us “don’t ask, don’t tell,” Obama allowed open homosexuality in our military, and now, Joe Biden not only continues to push open homosexuality, but has gone even further to allow cross-dressers and “trans-sexuals”—those with gender-dysphoria, i.e., a person with a desire to be of the other gender or an insistence that one is the other gender, in either case, this is a person with a psychiatric mental problem—what has happened; or, should I say, what have our democrats demanded during their time in office? That we Christians forsake our Religious Beliefs and accept homosexuality, and also assist in paying for the murder of children while still in the womb, or what they call abortion.

Father’s Word is coming to pass right before our eyes brethren. What did Jesus tells His disciples when they asked Him what it would be like just prior to His return for His Second Advent? It offers an extensive and broad definition of the term ‘blessing’ in Scripture to insist that people seeking a transcendent relationship with God and looking for his love and mercy shouldn’t be held up to an impossible moral standard to receive it.”.

II Chronicles 33:24 And his servants^H5650 conspired^H7194 against^H5921 him, and slew^H4191 him in his own house.^H1004   —>   Nothing is written concerning anything good that he might have done as king over the Nation, so I cannot surmise he did anything positive.

Likewise also, Father’s Word doesn’t provide any in-depth details concerning his death, it doesn’t say how many of his servants, nor the manner in which they murdered him, it just says that they killed him in his own house.

But, what we’re seeing brethren, is that, the common people who lived in the land of Judah did not like the way that Amon had run the country, and brethren, I’m here to tell you, that, after a time, you know that the righteous people will rise up against such wickedness, and try to put a stop to it—our Election of 2016 was is a good indicator of this, as, we had rejected the lunatic leftist agenda in order to try and restore order in our Country by electing President Elect Donald J. Trump to be our President, sadly, the democrats and the Republican in name only (RINOs) stole the 2020 election and installed their puppet Joe Biden, who brought evilness back to the Country—and they conspired with the servants to murder him and appoint Amon’s son Josiah to the throne of Judah.

Josiah
Josiah=Josiah’s name means “founded of YAH.” I immediately bring in the meaning of his name here because, Father prophesied of his birth and named him some three hundred plus years before his birth. We first read concerning Josiah back in I Kings 13—(Click here)—where we read that immediately after Father split the House of Israel into two separate Nations because of Solomon worshipping his foreign wives’ false gods and idols right there on Father’s Holy Mount, the man He had had anointed to be the first man king of the divided House of Israel, Jeroboam, for fear that should his People travel down to Jerusalem to worship Father, they either would wish to stay in the territories of Judah, or Rehoboam the king of the House of Judah, would not allow them to return to Israel, so Jeroboam crafted two golden calves for his People to worship at. Jeroboam also deemed himself a priest, allowed anybody who desired themselves to be a priest to be such, crafted other false gods and idols, made high places for the people to worship at, and pretty much the final straw, was when he ordained a feast in the eighth month of the year. All these acts angered Father, and we read in I Kings 13:1—(Click here)—the following: I Kings 13:1 And, behold,^H2009 there came^H935 a man^H376 of God^H430 out of Judah^H4480 ^H3063 by the word^H1697 of the LORD^H3068 unto^H413 Bethel:^H1008 and Jeroboam^H3379 stood^H5975 by^H5921 the altar^H4196 to burn incense.^H6999   —>   Father’s Word doesn’t ever identify this Prophet of Father’s, His Word only says as we read here, that he was sent by Father. [13:2] And he cried^H121 against^H5921 the altar^H4196 in the word^H1697 of the LORD,^H3068 and said,^H559 “O altar,^H4196 altar,^H4196 thus^H3541 saith^H559 the LORD;^H3068 ‘Behold,^H2009 a child^H1121 shall be born^H3205 unto the house^H1004 of David,^H1732 Josiah^H2977 by name;^H8034 and upon^H5921 thee shall he offer^H2076 ^(H853) the priests^H3548 of the high places^H1116 that burn incense^H6999 upon^H5921 thee, and men’s^H120 bones^H6106 shall be burnt^H8313 upon^H5921 thee.’i”   —>   Father had plans for this child and I’m sure his parents never knew of this prophesy, or that it was pre-ordained to name him the name they named him; but they did so. Josiah was the son of king Amon and his wife Jedidah. He was born in the year 538B.C., six years before his father became king. Josiah was only eight years old when he succeeded his father Amon to the throne of Judah, he was the second youngest king to sit upon the throne—king Joash being the youngest, he took over the throne at the age of seven years old. Father’s Word does not say how old Josiah was when he married, but he married a girl/woman named Hamutal, who gave birth to his second oldest son Jehoahaz—Josiah’s successor to the throne—when Josiah was sixteen years old. Now that we’ve covered Josiah’s background, let’s turn and learn concerning his history, acts and accomplishments while he served as king of Judah: If we re-read I Kings 13:2—(Click here)—from above, we read: I Kings 13:2“O altar, altar, thus saith the LORD ‘Behold, a child shall be born unto the house of David…and upon thee shall he offer the priests of the high places that burn incense upon thee, and men’s bones shall be burnt upon thee.”. As I stated above, Father had plans for this child, and those plans were for him to fulfill Father’s plans for cleaning up the House of Judah. We read in II Chronicles 34:1-3—(Click here)—that from eight years old, when he took the throne, he walked in the ways of David, meaning he followed after Father, he never turned to the right hand or the left, doing only that which was right in Father’s eyes. In his eighth year—when he was 16 years old—he truly began to seek Father, and in his twelfth year—at the tender age of 20—he began to purge Judah and Jerusalem. Let’s allow Father’s Word to describe all that he did, let’s turn to II Chronicles 34:3—(Click here): II Chronicles 34:3 For in the eighth^H8083 year^H8141 of his reign,^H4427 while he^H1931 was yet^H5750 young,^H5288 he began^H2490 to seek^H1875 after the God^H430 of David^H1732 his father:^H1 and in the twelfth^H8147 ^H6240 year^H8141 he began^H2490 to purge^H2891 ^(H853) Judah^H3063 and Jerusalem^H3389 from^H4480 the high places,^H1116 and the groves,^H842 and the carved images,^H6456 and the molten images.^H4541   —>   Though Father’s Word doesn’t state it here, Hilkiah, the High Priest at the time, must have had a strong influence on young Josiah and he had to have been assisting him in giving these orders to purge Judah and Jerusalem. But, we see that he had his People destroy and remove the high places, the groves, and the carved and molten images which his father Amon had re-introduced to the Nation for the People to worship. [34:4] And they brake down^H5422 ^(H853) the altars^H4196 of Baalim^H1168 in his presence;^H6440 and the images,^H2553 that^H834 were on high^H4605 above^H4480 ^H5921 them, he cut down;^H1438 and the groves,^H842 and the carved images,^H6456 and the molten images,^H4541 he brake in pieces,^H7665 and made dust^H1854 of them, and strowed^H2236 it upon^H5921 ^H6440 the graves^H6913 of them that had sacrificed^H2076 unto them.   —>   Unlike his grandfather Manasseh who had just removed these items, whereby his son, Josiah’s father, Amon, could just reset them up, Josiah is completely destroying them and beating them into a powdery ash, and then having the People spread those ashes on the graves of the idolatrous priests who made sacrifices to these false gods and inages. [34:5] And he burnt^H8313 the bones^H6106 of the priests^H3548 upon^H5921 their altars,^H4196 and cleansed^H2891 ^(H853) Judah^H3063 and Jerusalem.^H3389   —>   Here, we see the fulfillment of I Kings 13:2—(Click here)—from above, where Father prophesied that Josiah would burn the bones of the idolatrous priests on this altar. But, we also see here, that after Josiah had his People spread the powdery ashes from the previous verse on the idolatrous priests graves, he then had them dig up the bones of those priests and burn them in this altar. [34:6] And so did he in the cities^H5892 of Manasseh,^H4519 and Ephraim,^H669 and Simeon,^H8095 even unto^H5704 Naphtali,^H5321 with their mattocks^H2719 round about.^H5439   —>   Remember, we’re in the year 519B.C., this means that the House of Israel has been taken into captivity by the Assyrians 92 years ago already; but, still, Josiah is going into these cities which are occupied by the heathen peoples and destroying the false gods and idols, and he is even going so far as to desecrate the graves of those who worshiped them. The phrase “with their mattocks round about,” is just a fancy way to say, “in their ruins.” [34:7] And when he had broken down^H5422 ^(H853) the altars^H4196 and the groves,^H842 and had beaten^H3807 the graven images^H6456 into powder,^H1854 and cut down^H1438 all^H3605 the idols^H2553 throughout all^H3605 the land^H776 of Israel,^H3478 he returned^H7725 to Jerusalem.^H3389   —>   Josiah didn’t stop until he was completely satisified with the thoroughness of his work. All this purging and cleaning Judah had taken him several years to complete, and then we next read, that in his eighteenth year, he had some of his Administrative Staff and his high ranking Officers hire contractors to repair Father’s House. As they were doing so, Hilkiah, the High Priest, found “the Book of the Law.”. They brought the Book to Josiah and read the contents to him. He next commanded they seek Father and then take to Book to someone who had knowledge concerning Father’s Word. They took it to Huldah the prophetess who was at the college in Jerusalem. Father placed it in her heart to tell Josiah’s ambassadors to relay to Josiah, that because of the evilness which Manasseh had wrought in Judah, and because the People had forsaken Father, His wrath was going to be poured out upon the Country and the People, even all the curses which were written in the Book of His Law. However, for Josiah, because he had humbled himself, he would not see all the calamity Father was going to bring, he wold return Home to Father before Father brought it all about. During that same eighteenth year of his reign and rule, on the fourteenth day of the first month, Josiah gathered all the People of Judah, read the Words of the Book of the Law to them, and then held the Passover; “And there was no Passover like to that kept in Israel from the days of Samuel the prophet….”—Dr. Bullinger in his Companion notes to II Chronicles 35:19—(Click here)—has an excellent write-up concening Josiah, let’s read it “The sept version adds here [with a colon after kept]: “: after all these things that Josiah did in the house, who also burnt those who had familiar spirits, and the wizzards, and the images, and the idols, and the odomites, which were in the land of Judah and Jerusalem, that he might confirm the words of the law that were written in the book which Hilkiah the priest had found in the house of the Lord. There was no one like him before him, who turned to the Lord with all his heart, and with all his soul, and all his strength, according to all the law of Moses, and after him there rose up none likehim. Nevertheless the Lord turned not from his anger of His great wrath, wherewith the Lord was greatly angry against Judah, for all the provocations wherewith Manasseh provoked Him. And the Lord said: ‘I shall even remove Judah also from My presence, as I have removed Israel: and I have rejected the city which I chose, even Jerusalem, and the house of which I said, ‘My Name shall be there.’o’MM”MM.” Thirteen years after he cleaned-up the Nation and held the Passover—thus bringing us to the thirty-first year of his reign and rule, his last year, the last year of his life—pharaoh-necho—i.e., Necho II, the sixth king of the twenty-sizth dynasty; his father was a tributary of Assyria, but had secured independence for Egypt—king of Egypt, decided he wanted to go up against the king of Assyria—i.e., the king of Babylon, who had just conquered Ninevah, the rival capital—his destination was Charchemish—the fortress of Chemosh—because he figured he could share in the spoils of the failing Assyria; however, in order to do so, he had to pass through Judean territory. Josiah, hearing reports from his outlying defenders of his territories, came out against Necho. In response, Necho sent ambassadors to Josiah telling him to back-off, as, he was on a mission from Father. Josiah refused to back-down, he disguised himself, climbed into one of his chariots and was subsequentaly shot with an arrow and killed; thus ending his reignand rule. In summary: Josiah is remembered for standing foremost among all the kings of the line of David for unswerving loyalty to Father—Josiah is the only king of whom it was said: “…walked in all the way of David his father, and turned not aside to the right hand or to the left.”—and for breaking a long, monotonous series of absolutely worthless kings, discounting his great-grandfather, Hezekiah. When Josiah died, he was buried with the greatest honours in fulfilment of Father’s prophecy through His Prophetess Huldah—II Kings 22:20—(Click here)—with which we can Compare with Jeremiah 34:5. Jeremiah himself composed a funeral elegy on this the best of the kings of Israel—Lamentations 4:20; and II Chronicles 35:25—(Click here). So beloved by the People he led, that, the outpouring of national grief on account of his death became proverbial—Zechariah 12:11—and is shown by their deep and long-continued mourning after his death. Only twenty-three short years after his death, Jerusalem was taken and Father’s Temple destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon. † For the etymology of the name Josiah, we read the folllowing in Abarim Publications: “The name Josiah consists of two elements. The final part is יה (Yah) = יהו (Yahu) = יו (Yu), which in turn are abbreviated forms of the Tetragrammaton יהוה, YHVH, or YAHVEH. The origin of the first part of the name Josiah is unclear. To start with, it looks exactly like the verb יאש (yaיash), meaning to despair: Thus the name Josiah also carries the unmistakable meaning of—this Pastor and author of this Study strongly disagrees with this next meaning of the name Josiah—The Despair Of Yah. Brown Driver Briggs (BDB) Theological Dictionary dictates that the name Josiah derives from the verb אשהss(יshh), which is unused in the Bible but which probably means to support. Its derivative אשיהss(יoshya) means buttress or pillar and occurs only in Jeremiah 50:15. Hence BDB reads Yah Supporteth. This verb, however, is strikingly similar to the word אשהss(יishsha), meaning woman or female, which comes from the root group אנשss(יnsh), having meanings like to be sick, weak or social (see the name Enosh): And what to think of the similar noun אשהss(יishsheh), meaning a fire offering (Leviticus 1:9). This word probably comes from the word אשss(יesh), meaning fire: Alfred Jones (Dictionary of Old Testament Proper Names) assumes this mystery root indeed once existed, and liberally reads Given Of The Lord as meaning of the name Josiah. Younger sources point at a possible meaning of Yahveh Heals (New Open Bible Study Edition [NOBSE] Study Bible Name List) or Whom Jehovah Heals (Spiros Zodhiates — The Complete Word Study Dictionary of the New Testament). These seem to suppose that the name Josiah was imported from another language because the Hebrew verb to heal is רפא (rapa — hence the names Riphath and Rapha). Since we have no sound recordings from the olden days, it can’t be said with any certainty what the name Josiah sounded like to a Hebrew audience. Perhaps the noun for fire came from a verb meaning “to make fire,” and the name Josiah reflected God’s creating fire: Fire Made By YHVH.”. † Now from the Strong’s Concordance, where we find that it is Hebrew word number: H2977, - יֹאשִׁיָּהi, or ֹאשִׁיָּהוּ, - yôיshı̂yâh, or yôיshı̂yâhû, - pronounced: yo-she-yawיi, or yo-she-yawי-hoo, and means: From the same root as H803 and H3050; founded of YAH, Joshijah, the name of two Israelites: - Josiah. Total KJV occurrences: 53.. † Now from the Smith’s Bible Dictionary, where we read: “Whom YHVH heals. The son of Amon and Jedidah, succeeded his father, in the eighth year of his age, and reigned 31 years. His history is contained in II Kings 22:1; II Kings 24:30; II Chronicles 34:1; II Chronicles 35:1, and the first twelve chapters of Jeremiah throw much light upon the general character of the Jews in his day. He began in the eighth year of his reign to seek the Lord; and in his twelfth year, and for six years afterward, in a personal progress throughout all the land of Judah and Israel, he destroyed everywhere high places, groves, images and all outward signs and relics of idolatry. The Temple was restored under a special commission; and in the course of the repairs, Hilkiah, the priest, found that book of the law of the Lord which quickened so remarkably the ardent zeal of the king. He was aided by Jeremiah, the prophet, in spreading through his kingdom, the knowledge and worship of Jehovah. The great day of Josiah’s life was the day of the Passover in the eighteenth year of his reign. After this, his endeavors to abolish every trace of idolatry and superstition were still carried on; but the time drew near which had been indicated by Hulda, II Kings 22:20, when Pharaoh-necho went from Egypt to Carchemish to carry on his war along the seacoast. Necho reluctantly paused and gave him battle in the valley of Esdraelon. Josiah was mortally wounded, and died before he could reach Jerusalem. He was buried with extraordinary honors.”.
